Very interesting video. When my wife and I went on our honeymoon trip to Paris in 2007, included in our package was dinner at the Eiffel Tower, but at the restaurant on the first level. It was spectacular nonetheless. The evening was capped off with a cruise on the Seine and the 11:30pm show at the Moulin Rouge with a half bottle of Champagne. That package was offered by Tours Mont-Royal here in Quebec and was booked by my wife's stepmother who worked in her spare time for a travel agency in the Eastern Townships.
Le Procope is the one we may try depending on how the rest of our itinerary goes (we still have seven days od of the trip to plan), but to be in a restaurant with so much history is surely impressive.

Great video! It is concise and straight to the point, with lots of quick images of the food and setting. It has all the info you need, including the price tag, google rating, location and whether it serves breakfast, lunch or dinner. And you went through 10 restaurants in 10 minutes!

The only one I experienced was Le Procope. I had invited an American couple, and they liked it a lot. That was in the 1970s.

We are coming to Paris in July for our 50th anniversary and I would like to take my family to the Jules Verne in the Effile Tower. We checked the website, it said 90 days for a reservation. So we have 6 days to make the reservation and I wanted to check with you to see if the website information is accurate.

Another suggestion (after the macarons.) : restaurant Epicure at Hotel Bristol. Amazing place for the eyes and the body !

I'm surprised Le Taillevent isn't on the list. Othwerwise I am glad you chose to focus more on the classic vs modern french restaurants for this video.

All good recommendations, with maybe one exception. Be careful if you book Jules Vernes in the Tour Eiffel, they require a credit card for the reservation or at least they did when I booked on their web site. In my case, my card was hacked for other purchases in Paris on the following day. The restaurant denied any connection with the hack of course, and the credit card company covered the loss, but I cancelled my reservation as a result. I had not been to France for several years prior to that so it was too much of a coincidence for me. Just keep an eye on your credit card purchases if you book there.

Hi Colleen and Antoine, do you have any insight into making reservations at restaurants? I’ll be in Paris and Beaune in June but do not see any availability for summer. Do these places hold their online booking until closer before? Should I try and call? I have very basic French ability.

Just came back from a long weekend in Paris. Thank you very much for your good advice! From this video we could try two restaurants: First Le Ciel de Paris for breakfast and it was a great experience. The view is absolutely amazing and the prices are more than reasonable for a place like this. We also definetely recommend to go there, especially for breakfast! second Le Procope. Amazing ambience and history plus great food and perfect service. Also here we definetely recommend to go there!
