I doubt TRIGON bit the pill in 1977. Oh he bit the cyanide pill, just not in 1977. However I could be wrong. That's all I will say on this subject.

I have loves stories of espionage since the 80's but make no mistake, none of these fuckers are heroes.

This whole spying thing is a waste of time because they all work for the same person at the end of it all. Spying is just a made up job for sociopaths to do to stay outta real trouble. Would you rather have sociopaths fighting fake wars and going on fake spy missions for you, or would you rather have them working alone to find The Truth and topple you? Obviously you'd rather choose the former.

I have heard a couple of stories like this where the agent requested a cyanide pill and the US initially denied it. This is absurd. These agents KNEW the torture they would receive if caught and how horrible and drawn out it would be. The CIA should have asked an agent very early in the relationship if they WANTED the pill. It should NEVER have been the US decision but the person who was risking his life and maybe the life of his family.

Anyone who sells out his country primarily for his OWN Financial gains is hardly a hero, regardless of which country he serves.

That’s A ridiculous hypothesis that the Russians didn’t suspect this woman of being an agent. The Russians used women agents all the time to get close to individuals they wish to glean information from JFK was a prime example. I also believe that his brother Robert. had himself a little Russian agent on the side, too. So when the Americans use a woman agent it suddenly becomes a novel idea, I called BS.
