Acer Nitro 5 - Honest Review

My Acer Nito i7 11800H,16gb ddr4 (dual channel),rtx 3070.512gb m2 2280ssd,and a Curical P5 2Tb 2280 ssd.Great Laptop

I'm confused between this one 2022 model with 10th gen processor and the asus zenbook 14 2019 model with i5 8th gen. Price is about the same so is the ram and hard. I'll use it just for normal day stuff no games at all. Please tell me which one would you prefer I'll really appreciate it

This is best my first ever gaming laptop I've ever buy first I buy this I just upgrade to 16gb bcz I heard 8 gb only is very slow and also I upgrade everything like adding hdd and 1 slot more m.2 nvme the hdd I added 1 tera and ssd is 500gb more this is very good laptop been using the years and the booting system still fast that's awesome

For someone who has it. How is the battery on light tasks unplugged? Looking for a good school/play system.

Whenever I play a game while calling on discord, It only focuses the sound on discord and makes the sound unhearable for the game, does anyone know how to fix?

I got the 3070Ti version and I switched the Keyboard Light colors to blue on Settings and the back is not Red on mines its Dark Grey so it doesn’t look cheap

i just bought a nitro 5 with the i7 and 3060 and the damn fans never shut off.. just sitting there doing nothing they are at 1850rpm.. open a simple web browser and theyre up to 2500rpm. Open a game that is barely taxing either processor and they are whining away.. after that you might as well have a jet engine on your table.

thats a good pc, i got mine for 1100$ on sale and has a gtx 1650ti a core i7 10th gen 512gb ssd, 144hz display and 16gb ram but i upgraded it to 32gb ram and personally i think its worth every penny

ive just bought this to game and i dont find it laggy at all its fast and does the job, i didnt understand why the battery was draining so fast when gaming so thankyou i now know i need to keep it on charge when gaming!

I have the Acer Nitro 5 with the 3050TI, 16 gigs ram and I've upgraded the storage with another 1TB M.2 drive and a 1TB SSD. It runs everything i want it to with no problems. Love this laptop!!! And I have a custom built beast of a gaming PC as well. It's a good 1K well spent with upgrades for me.

Is the Nitro good for AutoCad and ArchiCad?

Can you tell me why my brand new ACER Nitro 5 sounds like a jet engine at 3500 rpm even in quite mode when I play an old game at low settings despite the laptop not being anywhere close to overheating?

Can anyone? Please. Did I waste my money here?

I can’t even use the BIOs or fan control software to keep the fan speeds low. It’s infuriating

Will this laptop work well without any upgrades? I use my xbox for most of my gaming, but I want something to be able to play my steam games with. I don't plan on playing any AAA games or highly competitive games, I just want to be able to play the smaller games I have.

I really think they should relabel all laptops with dedicated gpu´s to "mobile desktops", just to make it easier for those without much knowledge to spot the difference easier.
You do not buy those dedicated laptops for any other reason then to be a mobile desktop replacement, you don´t game or do any power hungry tasks on battery mode but are dependent on a power outlet anyways. Battery life is also not the primary focus on those.
Also should there be a ban on anyone advertising igpu based laptops as "Gaming Laptops"... this is just shady as it gets. Yes Vega and rnd2 are nice.. but as there is no upgrade path is just wrong.
A co worker of mine bought a brand new "gaming laptop".. powered by an e3050 + vega 2(?) igpu... yeah much gaming possible. Battery life is great so, to not much surprise which makes it an actual Laptop and not a mobile desktop.

Another thing nvidia should do is stop mislabeling their mobile gpu´s. If you gimp the specs then its no longer the same as what you sell it as. And for damn sake they should all be forced to advertise the tgp set on said gpu.

I got a acer nitro 5 with a rtx 3050 mobile I think the graphics cards are pretty much the same but I'm just struggling to understand why the performance of this one is so bad compared to mine? I have a 11400h i5 processor upgraded the ram. Did you put it into performance mode in nitro sense or is this just worse? I get 150+ on halo and 300 on rocket league

Honestly, didn’t expect very much from rtx 3050 (specs: 24GB RAM, i7 11800H) but every single game (Battlefront and Call of duty sort) ran just right - really stable 75 fps on med-max settings. And for the red elements - I LOVE them - it does not look boring and one-colored. Can it be charged through the Thunderbolt 4?

Do you have a video on the best built in sound/speakers in gaming laptops? years ago some HP laptops had the beats audio speaker setup which made playing music/games sound awesome...but that was 3-5 yrs ago...and those older laptops are coming up on needing replaced by now. So what is a good new laptop that is < 5lbs, can have lots of ram (at least 32gb), good cpu/etc but also has great built in audio?
