Really enjoyed this video. Looks a wonderful train journey . Thank you
ОтветитьThe shaky train reminds me of the New York City subway trains! 😮😮
ОтветитьOne of the express lines from Shin-Hakodate to Sapporo goes by the water, absolutely lovely view there too. Maybe one day you can ride that line and talk about it. One of the nicest train rides I ever took in Japan.
ОтветитьThank you to show it to us. When i come next year to Japan, i will ride this train ,i hope. ❤ I like the rural Japan. Kind Regards from Germany.
ОтветитьThe bumpiness is part of the charm.
ОтветитьThat was so fun! Thanks❤
ОтветитьThis brings back many great memories - Travelled by local train to Ibusuki in 2019 to visit the hot sand spa in the town. Really nice trip, lovely uncrowded vibe to area and hot sand spa is fabulous
ОтветитьHow nostalgic! I boarded the same train back in November 2023 and the weather was exactly like the one in your video. It was bumpy but the view totally made up for it and I also got a counter seat. I wonder if Ibusuki is always so quiet because there weren't much people around even at the sand bath place. Thank you for sharing as always and I hope I can go back to Kyushu soon. Have you tried taking Aso Boy? Highly recommend you to try it!
ОтветитьThe pork and egg sandwich on the train looks so yummy. The egg and pork are thicker than the bread😂
ОтветитьGreat trip. Classic train, bumpy rail, but can run at high speed, this train driver feels like Rally Driver for sure.
ОтветитьI can just imagine the death grip he had on his sandwiches when the train was shaking madly.
ОтветитьThe ontamaran don looked so succulent. Loved how the okura (okra in US) looked. Curious if that was steamed or stir fried?
The sea looked as bumpy and rough as the train ride. Maybe the rough winds also added to the shaky ride. All in all ty SJT for sharing. I love a good cup of coffee when i ride the train and enjoy the views. ❤️
We went on that train in 2023 - great experience and then ibusuki hot sand bath afterward 😊
ОтветитьI don’t think you mentioned but the train also gives off a jet of steam at the start of the journey- even though it’s not a steam train!
ОтветитьNice, some people pay a lot for being shacked at an fairground 😅. I think, this is fun.
I will stay with some friends for a week in Kagoshima next year. Hotel and flights are booked allready. This train will go on the possible to do list.
Thank you for the hint!
Greetings from Germany!
🇩🇪🍻🇯🇵
Beautiful sea view i enjoyed it
ОтветитьThe bumpy yet scenic train journey in Kagoshima must have been quite an adventure! 🚂🇯🇵
ОтветитьOld train and an old town!!
ОтветитьThank you for this video. I like trains a lot, but I have been in Kyushu last year (and absolutely love it), and now there are so many other destinations in Japan that I want to visit. Next March, we will visit Tohoku, and after that, I have ideas for so many other destinations in Japan, where we havent been too.
ОтветитьThis video was "!!" Thank you always for your hard work.
ОтветитьOnboard catering?....................will there be curry?.................I suspect not on this train, sandwich is very well presented, looks nice.
ОтветитьThe train seems to very similar to our UK 2 car sprinter trains, but older.
ОтветитьThe bumping around reminds me of British trains. Love your video's. Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
Ответить!!
ОтветитьThis is how our current trains are in NJ. We have no fast smooth ones, except maybe Amtrak's Acela.
Ответить❤❤
Ответитьi really enjoy yours ferry and train videos, watching you channel helped me a lot during covid-19
thanks for post your experiences!!!! 💜🤞
I often used to arrive in Hiroshima station in a bullet train from the north and then take a local train inland to Miyoshi, getting on that old rickety train was like stepping back in time 100 years !
On one occasion I arrived in Hiroshima early evening and by the time I got on to the local train to Miyoshi it was dark. About halfway through the journey the train came to a sudden stop in the middle of nowhere, 20 mins later it moved backwards about 10 meters, stopped and then moved forwards again. This was all accompanied by long announcements in Japanese that I didn't understand....
A fellow passenger was kind enough to translate these announcements for me. Apparently the train had hit a deer and it had become trapped underneath the train and the driver, the conductor and several passengers were juggling the train backward and forwards in an effort to release it! Eventually they were successful and we proceeded on our way.
A bumpy ride in Japan is an experience, but it is the norm elsewhere in the world ! Thanks for the video
ОтветитьNice trip
Ответить❤
ОтветитьThe bumpy ride reminded me of the Sound Transit commuter train between Tacoma and Seattle.
Ответить👍👍👍👍❤
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Very nice.
ОтветитьThanks again! I want to to back to Kagoshima.
ОтветитьI hear Australian accents!! We love exploring so the Japanese tourism board has done a lot of advertising here. My best friend is a travel agent. She said that a lot of the packages include more unique options for Aussie travellers. We are also dedicated train commuters so we love riding the rails in other countries.oh’ we also love to hit the slopes. So a lot of snowboarders will escape the hot summer to the mountains to take on the diamond runs so you’ll be hearing a lot of Aussie accents for the next 4 to 5 months
Such lovely scenery and the food looked nice.
Are the chirping sounds in the town the foot crossings for roads or something else?
Isn’t there an app that says when the train is supposed to arrive?
ОтветитьNice vibe, not many people, not a single graffiti anywhere or trash on the streets. Love it.
ОтветитьVery unusual seating on the train but I thought it was cute and cheerful with all of the colors. 😊
ОтветитьThank you Solo San. You take the bumps so we don't have to. 😊
ОтветитьI like rural Japan which makes you feel calm and relaxed. The food served in the local restaurant, although simple, is delicious. Love your trip report of Ibusuki train ride.
ОтветитьHmm, I don't think this journey is for me. The mindless, incessant, prattle of the commentary over the loudspeaker would drive me crazy. Pity, the scenery and general vibe looks great, but the endless, mindless commentary???
ОтветитьPoor Solo getting stuck with the lousy seat!! Not fair!😂
Ответитьpoor little dragonfly.....
Ответить😉🌚🌚shakin like a german train 😉😉
