Nah she just squishes herself into a perfectly spherical ball whilst the suit turns into the outer shell and the engines into a skeleton so she isn't flattened into a pancake if something falls on her. And the suit is covered in tiny cameras so she can see where she's going

Funfact: If you take the measurements of Samus and the Morphball from the first three Metroid Games it actually would be possible. (Granted, the Morphball is way bigger in these.)

Nah. Metroid Prime showed Samus turns into energy when using the Morph Ball.

The only way to know if this is true or not is to pick up Samus when she's in ball form, and give her a shake while listening for the "sloshing" sound of a liquid. If it is true though...... then you better hope you didnt just slam Samus's brain against the confines of her own suit....

As a kid, I always thought the power suit just shrank Samus and she controlled the suit from like a panel or something. It was just the most logical thing I could think of.

I think they showed it in Metroid Prime. I was so relieved after they showed it because it was giving me so much anxiety
