Any reason why you’re using SRAM on the MTB with different chain and shimano on gravel if shimano is faster?

How is that Silca Tire Sealant treating you? I had a lot of problems with it massively clumping up around holes and becoming like a rotating brick in my tire. Did you have anything like that as well?

Hi Dylan, it would be amazing if you could do a video of your MTB tire choice, pressures for different scenarios such as MTB XC/Marathon races on grass, wet grass, super wet grass, dirt, mud, gravel, etc. Since you refuse to have a tire sponsor this would be super interesting to get your experience as the tire is one of the cheaper and effective improvements.
You inspired me to move from Road to MTB, wax my chain, and focus more on other things besides weight :D
Greetings from Germany! Love all your videos and content :)

Beware of these super light bikes. They use aluminum & titanium alloys where other bikes use steel, in critical areas like freehub pawls, axles, etc. Parts that last forever on normal bikes, are "consumable" and need to be replaced periodically on these super light bikes. Sometimes the wear / metal fatigue is not apparent to visible inspection, so to avoid critical failures stranding you out in the middle of nowhere, you end up replacing these parts whether they need it or not, based on mileage or calendar.

When running pressures this low, I'm always afraid that my tire is somehow going to slide off the rim in sharp corners (and cause me to crash most likely). Is that something I should be worried about and just put more pressure in my tires, or is that something that's just very unlikely to happen, and my sidewalls significantly deforming under the centrifugal force is completely normal.. ?

Pro Tip: The Chequamegon 40 is really more of a gravel race. Bring your gravel bike with the biggest tires that fit. Lots of rolling grassy hills and a some double track. Just a bit of useful info to pay you back for all I've gotten from you.

imho ceramic speed seems like more hype (and $$$) than gains compared to high quality steel bearings + races (e.g. NTN, SKF, Timken, etc.) matched with low viscosity grease/oil. what's the science say?

Cool bike Dylan. I look forward to hearing about your adventures on the new rig and if it creaks? I asked my sponsor for a new bike and they said “no”. I did ask my sponsor if I could get a new wheels Bottom bracket to stop the creaking. It’s getting so bad one guy after a race said he could hear me getting ready to pass him! My sponsor told me to ride the old rig into the ground and pay off my divorce. I may have neglected to mention I’m my own sponsor. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Also love how you treat the tires topic.

Could you please 🙏🙏🙏 do a rundown on the tires you use for gravel racing?
A real non sponsored pro opinion would be ace!!!

About the oversized pulley and cage - practically I found after using them for 1 season, that its prone to attract more sticks, leaves, mud, etc collecting and is more prone to getting bent or having to clean it out mid-ride or you notice slower shifting. Thats why I stopped using the larger pulleys on both my trail and gravel bike.

Hey Dylan, love your channel. I am looking at picking up a Lando. What rear shock are you running? It looks like the DT swiss unit that they spec on their complete builds. I have heard some people struggling to setup those units.

Do the factor bars allow for the use of aero clipons? I have a Scott/Syncros Hixon barstem, but its shape would seem to disallow clipons, (Or even a light mount.)
