Another great video, Scott! Thanks for taking us along. I was just curious, and my apologies if you've answered this question before, but how do you go about dealing with the rock snot? It's always frustrated me when nymphing the WB, so I am just wondering if you have strategies that have helped you deal with it? My assumption would be to reduce weight, but I always think that will hamper my ability to get to the fish. Thanks again!+

Just finished watching this one Scott

I am sorry to learn of the rudeness of the drift boat operators. I am not surprised after listening to some of their podcasts. they can be haughty with a mindset that they command the river

When you're nymphing on the delaware, what leader and tippet do you normally use? Mono or fluoro leaders and tippet?

Nice video as always Scott. I've been fishing up there since the mid 90's. It just keeps getting worse with the boats. Most of the seasoned guides will show the wading fisherman respect. It's all these newer fishermen that have their own boats that don't give you room or respect the water that your fishing. Also the west branch is one of the most easily waded waters i have fished no need for boats unless river is too high. I know there's limited access but once your in the water you can go where you want.

Just got back from 5 days up there. You are right about the guides in boats, and I was in my own boat and ran into some morons. Float through where you were fishing even when in my own boat. Still love fishing there, not going to let a couple of morons ruin it. I think I will try it later in the summer also. Great vid by the way. Think I need to do a 10 day fishcation also.

Excellent work again Scott at the Delaware! You can see those trout are eating good, fat and healthy! Totally enjoyed this one because I know how difficult it can be in these waters! Swear when I hook into a 14 incher he fights like a 20 plus 😂 I can feel your frustration with guys fishing right on you , but you handle it with class , not loosing your cool ! Definitely sucks when those big boys break off , stings for awhile til you hook into another good one ! Stay safe and tight lines buddy

I looked at the USGS gauge at Stilesville. for Sunday the 11th the flow was about 600 cds. would you say that was correct?

also could you recommend a place to stay as well as a fly shop

thank you

I always enjoy watching you crush it on the Delaware. Impressive to say the least. I was up there a couple weeks ago and had a similar experience, not with the catching lots of giant fish 😅, but with terrible stream etiquette from both boats and wading anglers. I’m always mindful of other anglers and their space, which way the are fishing, etc. Not sure if they are clueless or just don’t care. Frustrating either way and can ruin your day. A little courtesy can go a long way. I sometimes think a fishing etiquette class should be required for a fishing license the way drivers ed is for a drivers license. Either way, tight lines, I know you’re one of the good ones 😄

Well done, as always, Scott. I grew up in the Southern Tier region and consider the Delaware to be my very first home water. Hopefully, you didn't sting too many fish so the rest of us have a chance. Thanks for documenting and sharing another week of your angling life.

For Mr. Congeniality to say some people were rude on the water it must have been Real Bad. You are always polite on the water and an excellent example of a true sportsman. .

Thanks for the finale. I want to fishcation there one day. You are a trout whisperer. The water looks intimidating. Is the wading challenging? How does the water compare to the Lehigh river. I was up by the Lehigh by bowmanstown for the first time and wading was not easy.

Hi Scott haven’t talked to you in a while. First I totally enjoyed your video on the Delaware River. Some questions! We re you mostly fishing above the west branch angler or below? I think you started out at the hail eddy bridge? Second I noticed that when you are fishing a tandem nymph rig your tying from the eye and not from the bend of the hook!, is there a specific reason for this? Did you fish any top water iso drys? What time of year were you fishing? I’m going to be fishing for three days at the end of the month. Any advice would be appreciated. I agree with you regarding the drift boat. Anytime I’ve fished from a drift boat they have always been mindful of the Wade fisherman. Thanks for another great video

Hey Scott, Well done as always great to see you have such consistent success there above and below the surface. I fish many of those same beats.
I have been carrying 2 rods for the last few years as I fish a 10' Wt for euro nymphing and a 9' 5wt Sage X for dry fly fishing. I am thinking of going to a 10'4 wt as a do all so I can stop carrying 2 rods.
I believe you're fishing a 10' 4 wt for this trip. Are there any 10' 4 wt rods that you recommend.
What is your leader set up when nymphing? Thanks very much.

Re your comments about drift boat rudeness. I haven't experienced much of that on the WB except for just hogging a hole for what seems like forever. - But the thought came to me about videoing a boat if I did turn into one of those rude boats and posting it.
