I am using 4 x 6 V PLA - L 16 AGM PLATINUM BATTERIES
USING A VICTRON 100/50
THEY ARE SHOWING 11.37V
My Alarm on my 2000 w
Inverter goes off because power is soon lost I run my small pond pump pc and 500 w kettle and 700 toaster and cannot use them all the time what's going on should I get another
MPPT CONTROLLER
To get more AMPS and is it going to benefit my system
Thanks Troy

Could you hook up, say, 2 pv solar charge controllers alongside an AC to DC charge controller?

I have a 5kw inverter installed which runs all the load in my house and on this system I have installed six panels 380 watt. Now I have bought 3 more solar panels 545 watt and I want to use these panels but my inverter is not double MPPT. If I purchase another solar charge controller for this and connect it to the battery in this system, will there be any problem?

I have have a kind of unique situation I'm wondering about. I'm installing a solar panel array to temporarily power my RV at our RV pad, but would also like to use the same array to power a seperate inverter/battery bank to power a 240v system for our well. The idea is that when one system is full, it can be used to power the other, and vice versa, and share the load when both needs it. Is that possible for both to be connected in parralel to the same PV array as inputs to charge 2 completely seperate mppt controllers/inverter/battery banks?

What if the charge controllers are not programmable different brands and one is a 20 amp the other is a 80 amp?

Hi there. First of all, thanks for your videos. They're really helpful.

I have battery bank (2x220 48v lifepo4) and an anern ex-pro 10.2kw inverter/charger/mppt with a 8kw PV array. I'm planing to add one more anern 10.2kw inverter/charger/mppt with its own PV array. These anern aren't paralellable. The AC out of each goes to an automatic transfer switch. So, if one inverter fails, the other takes the load.

Do you know these inverters/mppt? Do you think they can be connected yo the same battery bank? Of course battery parameters should be exactly the same.

I'm running 18 group 24 gel mk's but there different ages so each one has it own charge controler connected to a main trunk line from my 27 pannel array that acts like wall on my porch (mounted vertical). All of positive lines are bolted down for safety reasons. I only play with the negative lines, one from panel bus bar and one from the batterie bus bar. I haven't see anyone doing this. I might make video one day, because not everyone got the money for a huge bank.

Should there be a fuse between each controller and the battery?

I have been wondering about that. I have two different controllers and two separate panel strings for a single 3 battery bank. I just have to make sure of all of the settings like you suggest

If I use multiple charge controllers, would that mean they'll draw less wattage?

I think i need a power diode on the output of one of my 2 (cheap, blue ones, china) controllers, they are both in parallel to 24 V batteries, they interfere with each other , the 2 amp meters oscillate a lot when the load is small and the sun is out; also, they never let the voltages go to 14.2 either (i have six panels of 60 cells, maybe that is the problem, should be 72 cell?; they are in 2 strings of three).
i guess i will have to spend the money and wire the panels in series for 60 volts and buy an MPPT?

Hi, i upgrade my system from 24 to 48 volts i have now total of 12 solar panels,6 are of a higher wattage so my question is :
Can I connect two MPPTs with two different wattage solar panel banks to the same battery bank?
one MPPT with the 6 lower wattage solar panels and the other MPPT with the higher wattage solar panels.

Hi thanks for the video.
Can I connect 2 controllers directly to the same battery, or must I have a busbar?
Thanks

Asalamualeykm

I would like to know the reason for using 200 AH Lead Acid battery as the minimum capacity with 3/5 KW phocos inverter. Is it because :-

1. From Charging point of view that the battery charging current from the inverter to the battery cannot be programmed less than 20 A (max charging current for 200 AH battery on normal operation) and charging via solar in case of no grid can damage lesser capacity battery?? And/Or

2. From Load point of view such the inverter when operating in pure battery backup mode (no solar and no grid available) the minimum capacity has to be 200 AH to cater to 3000 Watt of rated load ??

3. If my inverter is configured in a way that the connected load on AC output side of inverter is less than 1000 watts (the max emergency load in case of power cut or grid failure) and the inverter is mostly operating in grid feed in mode, then
a. Can I use 100 AH/150 Ah batteries with the inverter for minimum backup requirement...??

These are the queries I am getting from clients who want to upgrade their existing On Grid systems to Hybrid Systems and I suggest Phocos inverter for the same.
The concern of the clients is that adding 200 AH battery adds to overall cost of upgradation since power cuts are minimal, back up requirements are basic and Solar power is utilised majorly in grid feed in mode.

Waiting for early reply.

Thank you
