I’ve seen a lot of comments and I agree, this is amazing. That planning and layout are great. I’m just wondering what the cost in dollars was to get to this point. Outside of building the house from scratch, how much were all the materials and labor to get to this point?
ОтветитьWell water? Hows that now?
Ответитьso how much cost in buying the materials needed ? im sure its best to make sure u have a good amount of lump of money put away to start right?or having a job or means of income set before this,
ОтветитьHope can be done at Syria
ОтветитьWhat is your fertilization schedule with your trees? That growth is amazing! I'm hoping to replicate it 😃
ОтветитьIt's incredible what you were able to achieve in 2 years. Great job! I love to see the desert slowly turning green!
ОтветитьI am so impressed.
Hard work pays

Oh my goodness it seems like you wouldn't have the problems with weeds that we do here in Washington state. I try to plant a garden and I can't keep up with all the weeds and the grasses. It's so green up here. The desert looks better in the respect of weeds, either that you guys would be super weeders but then the desert has beauty that you can't find anywhere else for sure
ОтветитьArizona Green again!
ОтветитьCongratulations on a wonderful progress
Thank you for sharing
My favorite, most rewarding to see of all your vids.
Now don't forget the poor guy in Idaho who was building a farm all diversified, whose wife felt abandoned with all his zeal for work outside, and he didn't see it coming. She left
Amazing farm you have started. I just came across your channel today. In two years you have accomplished so much with your hard work. This reminds me when my parents started the homestead in 1960’s. We planted some many trees etc. I live in a suburb in Ohio were I do containers gardening. Plus I collect rare aroids as houseplants.
ОтветитьSo inspiring, thx. Will you teach us about aerated static composting? How much easier it’s creation is compared to the old manual rotation methods. Please share why this Biodiverse Compost helps create resilient crops, according to Elain Engam Food Soil Web, founder.
ОтветитьAmazing transformation in a short time. Great work, guys!
ОтветитьI envy you guys! Congratulations
ОтветитьNew subscriber here. Love what y’all have done. You must go through a lot of water. I’ll back watch and find out.😜 Keep the videos coming. What y’all are doing can be done anywhere. Just wait till everyone finds you. About to blow up. Just wait and see.
ОтветитьWoohoo! Way to go! Congrats! Not a small accomplishment.
ОтветитьI am inspired.
ОтветитьGreetings, Duane and Lorie, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸
This video must have taken days /weeks to edit. 👍
Well done....can't wait until next year 👍
WOW!
ОтветитьCongratulations. How many acres is this farm?
ОтветитьI have a question do you you all have issues with the Glassy-winged sharpshooter one of my mulberrys got stunt with those bugs 😭😭😭
ОтветитьWhat a great job! So glad you took the time to make a vid with a look back to the beginning. I've been with you in sprit since the old place and have cheered you along with all the work at the new home. I still believe you guys are doing some important work with developing a successful farm in desert conditions. So much of the best areas of farmlands are gone and the need to learn to covert marginal ground into a productive farm is a real challenge. Keep up the good work and I'll cheer you on.
ОтветитьWow... this is crazy amazing!
ОтветитьIncredibly impressive amount of hard work. And all that room to expand. Can't wait to see in what direction you will go next.
ОтветитьAwesome video! You two have done so much work in just two years, its amazing!!
ОтветитьYou are modern pioneers. My great grandfather built a working ranch and home from bare land. In the 1890's. Everything still stands today.
ОтветитьThis was the first of your videos that I have seen. A short way thru I had to call my husband to see “ this amazing project”. How important to show the farm from the very beginning so that we can all understand the planning and work involved. What is the horticultural and farming experience that you each gave? Cannot imagine all the education in so many field, required to initiate and carry thru a huge project such as this.
What are the several outbuildings in the distance from the house, used for? Where is all of the water you use brought from? Are there state limitations on your water use? Lastly, why did you decide to start this large farm and orchard, in the desert?
This is an amazing example of a well-planned transition from barren land to a sustainable home.
Where is your water coming from?
eline emeğine sağlık bu güzel vlog için kolay gelsin hayırlı işler 👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьAs I look for a piece of undeveloped land to begin farming and gardening, I often think of looking near you. Thinking of the benefits of growing more trees and grasses for chop and drop and harvests to eat. We need more native trees, shrubs, flowers and grasses, along with the power of intensive rotational grazing to regenerate that soil.
ОтветитьWow. What a difference!
ОтветитьWhere do you guys get so much water from? Rain harvesting?
ОтветитьIt's amazing how far you've come. Well done!
ОтветитьWow, the farm looks amazing because of all your hard work and thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьI hope you guys have been able to get at least a bit of that rain that has been passing thru AZ. It has been amazing watching things come together so quickly with your property.
ОтветитьBeautiful great job looks amazing 👏
ОтветитьVery impressive that you accomplished so much in just 3 years. You forgot to mention the well installation. I really think that solar panels and wind turbines combination would benefit the property, but I understand it's not for everyone.
ОтветитьThe progress is amazing!
ОтветитьCongrats Lori & Duane, you should be really proud of the transformation. You are such an inspiration to all of us. Farming in AZ is definitely challenging but you guys made it an awesome experience for you and us. Best wishes for many years of success and happiness!
ОтветитьThis was incredible to see all in one video. PS, Lori, it was me who called the other day about the Pigs and Beef. 🙂
ОтветитьMy favorite part was when you two moved all those blocks and built those beds. I remember watching that knowing how much work it is. I did two beds like that and said no, i think ill just keep growing at ground level. 😃
ОтветитьGreat transformation. Love seeing your progress. I need to ask why is there no low grasses there anymore? living roots help reduce soil erosion, increase soil water penetration/biology/nutrients while helping to reduce ground temperature.
ОтветитьHi Duane and Lori, totally amazing job. Working from a bare block, how difficult was it to work out what to plant where?
Even as just a home gardener I sometimes can't decide what to put where? We're you decisive or did you rearrange the planting plans a few times?
Love it! 🌱🏜️
ОтветитьAre you collecting rainwater or pumping?
ОтветитьAwesome job. Any thoughts on planting mesquites or ironwoods for nitrogen fixer companion/nursery trees?
ОтветитьIt’s astounding how much a love of the land, love for each other and working hard has you succeeding in attaining your common goal! I loved this and with a tiny bit of edgy music 🎶♥️
ОтветитьCongratulations to a job well done. March on!
