I see a lot of comments concerned about killing bacteria in a septic system. I think you would have to use lots and lots of anti-bacterial cleaners to kill enough bacteria that you septic system could not recover quickly. Also, every time you are flushing down the brown you are recharging the bacteria colony in the septic tank.
I thought you cut off the bottle top to funnel some fabuloso into the overflow tube.

☆☆☆ IF YOU HAVE BLACK RIGHT UNDER THE RIM!!!!!! You need to pour it into the overflow, where the white tube is. Then you need to let it sit for 30-60 minutes. The chemical will get into the area that the seat rests on. That is where water goes, there are several ports or holes and when you flush, the water comes out from those holes into the bowl. You often have bacteria growing in there. Once you get something in there to kill it, let it set....then flush, scrub your bowl and you are good to go. You can still put it in the tank too.
Also, take a mirror or your phone and check the outer backside of tank. Sometimes you can have mold or mildew growing there too or on the wall.

I use the purple antibacterial fabuloso for everything lol. Especially for my swiffer power mop. Those refills are so high. Just take your empty swiffer bottle and drill a hole in the top, big enough for a small funnel, fill it up with fabuloso and put a cork in the hole when you’re done. Swiffer peeps won’t like that hack 😂

Fabuloso is ABSOLUTELY NOT a safe cleaner. It's TOXIC! Read this:

So. Those are just chemical terms that we can’t pronounce, save for the first one, that sounds like something a writer may choose to have Mr Take Over the World finally off James Bond in a vat of. (Insert white Persian cat image here.)

Allow me to offer a link to each from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and then a quick and dirty, (and I mean “dirty”), sum up.

Sulfuric Acid: Irritates basically everything. Don’t touch it, or breathe it in.
2 Phenoxyethanol: Hold your breath. Oh, and for the love of all that is Holy – don’t light up.
Sodium Hydroxide: Again. Don’t breathe. Or, open your eyes. And I quote: “Because it may be considered public enemy number one for causing chemical burns of the eye, sodium hydroxide has been the chemical caustic most extensively studied in animal and clinical investigations.” You just can’t make this stuff up.
Propylene Glycol Propyl Ether: As long as you don’t touch or breathe it in, you’ll be fine.
Alklbenzenesolfonic Acid: Direct quote with emphasis from the CDC: “Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment.” That uppercase “NOT”, is from their Data Sheet, not mine. Fabulous.

Question is there anything I can use to clean the lower bowl(right before it flushes out) is crusted over I haven't been able to get it back to clean white. I have tried brushes, and regular toilet bowl products (I think we have hard water). I need suggestions please...

It is strongly advised to not put any anti bacterial soap ,cleaners period into a septic sytem.A septic system wants bacteria in the septic tank work at breaking down the solids.This is a very ill advised thing to do by someone that does not understand how your extremely expensive septic system works.

If it kills bacteria, you don't want it in your septic system!!! The bacteria is what breaks down the waste products; without them, your tank will need emptied often.

This is good but it is not the total answer as bacteria grows in warm, moist, dark places which are on the outside of the stool.

Major Omitted: HOW OFTEN do you put that amount into the tank? Certainly not daily - you'd have to buy it by the case. I live alone, use primarily one toilet; comments welcome.

Not going to stay in tank only a few flushes - only good for one or two times . Don’t use if you have a septic system .

99.9% is not enough. Bacteriocides are required to achieve at least 99.99 killing of bacteria to be effective 😊

As has been said. Don't do this if you have a sceptic tank! It will kill the good bacteria you need!

Have you ever sat down on a toilet with hot water connected to the tank. I flush the bowl and sat down for a Sauna for your butt. It feels so good and the poops slide out effortlessly. It’s wonderful.

I read a good post awhile back from a cleaning lady that cleaned offices at
night when they were closed. When she started her shift, she poured Kool Aid
in the tanks every night when she started. The Kool Aid contains citric acid and
that's what I've been using and it works good. She said the toilets at the offices
where she worked were all sparkling clean, from the Kool Aid. I did not believe
it at first but it does work.

Why does your tank get dirty? Do you pee in it?

My toilet tank was never cleaned, ever, and it was always clean inside. So unless you do #1 or #2 inside your tank... I would say sure... throw in some cleaning stuff just for the smell.

Why not just pour from a plastic disposable cup

I tried this about a year ago. Maybe I left the cleaner in the tank too long or maybe the cleaner had nothing to do with this, but ever since, the silicone ring on my canister style flush valve has been leaking. It's one of those toilets from costco with 2 flush options. It's a good toilet, but the silicone rings are difficult to find for this particular model. My question is, has anyone else reported this problem or was this just a coincidence?

My sister, a nurse, once told me to never put chemicals in the toilet tank because, in case of an emergency, you could take the clean water out and boil it to use for consumption! If you’ve ever lived with drought or a natural disaster that cuts off water supply, this could be important!

Fabulous cleaner is the worst especially if Ur sensitive to chemical orders. My Daughter picked some up and cleaned the floor I had to leave the house till it could be aired out. The name causes me to gag.

Make sure that you don't use Fabuloso that was recalled, Nov 2022-Jan 2023.
It creates bacteria in the solution, and you can get sick, from both ends. And is contagious.

Just use baking soda and vinegar it always works !!! Be patient

I Hate Fabuloso with a passion. It has the worst chemicals and the smell gives me a headache and that is how i know it is highly toxic

I have never been crazy about fabuloso, going on back to the 90s. I use a couple of denture tablets in the tank, leave them for half an hour or so then flush but i also scrub out the tank a couple times a month.

As far as cleaning the bowl, i spray it down with whatever cleaner I'm using then go on to clean the rest of the bathroom and then scrub the toilet. I do use disposable gloves but really, it is no biggy

I wouldn't put milk in my toilet tank because milk has fats as well
