Rather than discuss protein seconday structure with dipoles, say that hydrogen bonding forms numerous folding interactions. Together with the hydrophobic effect, hydrogen bonding is the most important determination of protein secondary structure.

Chemist trying to learn biochemistry here. “Stores energy” surely the peptide will adopt a lower energy conformation? If you break electro static or hydrogen bonds this would require energy and not release it.

anybody, i am just starting to use creatine, ginseng, and the like; supplements my body needs i think; I am amazed how these scientists or clever people come up with this things; my question is, what subject if the appropriate to study so i can understand at least a little how these things are "invented" and produced? is it Biochemistry? what videos should i start watching to get a good understanding?
