this was filmed here in east tennessee. i recognize parts of the river thats right close to the house in the movie.

I recall this being a very interesting movie, the novel setting of which appealed to me somehow. Haven't seen since early 90's.

I would like to see this movie again too. It’s a good movie but bein a Southerner it makes me so sad & Angry. The government does the same thing today (always will) if your in the minority you Will get Run Over. If you’ve got somethin they want what’s to stop em from Takin it?

Watched it on TV last night...Man, I forgot how gorgeous Lee Remick was !!!

TVA was the best thing to come to the Tenn.valley,our land was washing away and people were so poor.
