what's the difference between a solid green signal and a flashing amber when turning left? in the UK we don't get these flashing signals on traffic lights, only red = stop, red/amber = prepare to go, green = go, amber = stop if safe to do so (prepare to stop)

Do you have the same kind of dramitization for right turns? I love this one but need one for right turns.

Is it just me or the Florida traffic handbook doesn't cover this in as much detail as this video did? This pretty much alleviated all of my concerns and questions I'm no longer than nervous about taking left turns.

I never knew the risks of this, my mom was screaming about this to me yesterday, she was like “STOP STOP STOP STOP” and I was so confused cuz all the cars seem to have been turning in front of me and there wasn’t any cars on oncoming traffic but I was already halfway on the other lane, so I decided to go anyway and luckily nothing went bad (she’s funny asf tho cuz she told me to get on the Washington pkway and was screaming at me cuz I didn’t know shit about how to merge with traffic lol, luckily we didn’t die on that part too). But now I know, I view it as one of those left turns with the dividers in the middle, and you having to yield for pedestrians and oncoming traffic when you’re at the rightmost road, leftmost lane, off to a residential road.
I just never viewed it that way and I realized how I’ve almost caused this collision to happen, I’m genuinely dumb and I feel bad for giving my mom a near heartattack, thank you for this valuable video

What if it’s a three way?

Why not just put another light for turning left? This will make life simpler and safe. People would wait until the left arrow light turns into green, then go!

Amen and glory to Christ. Thank you! I was right, vehicles making a left turn must yield to oncoming vehicles who are making a right turn. This is a huge problem at intersections, drivers who want to make a left turn refuse to yield to drivers who want to make a right turn.

Always stop before turning, and yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians.

You forgot to mention if you're in the intersection waiting to turn and the light turns yellow and then red, you can't stay stopped in the intersection. You must turn. Once you enter the intersection you have the right to complete the turn while the traffic waits.

Why turn into the left lane? Isn’t that the fast lane? In the UK, we turn into the left lane because it’s the standard lane and only use right for overtaking or turning right

Intersections are so annoying. They are the cause of hours long traffic jams, especially in an overpopulated country like India. Just give us flyovers, man.

Sometimes the roads really suck

Many experienced drivers still fail to understand some of the rules, left turns are a major cause of traffic accidents. Biggest takeaway is do not rush it, the worst case scenario is making the left turn after the light turned red which is perfectly fine as long as you are already in the intersection.

This is so stupid. Just let one side of the road pass by, so those going straight go straight. Those going left go left. When the signal turns red, they stop and then the next bunch on the other sode of the road, their signal turns green and they do the same.
