some of the older day wisdom to reduces the mosquito is to allow a good airfow , avoid humid envionments and to not locate heavy broad trees near the houses. that why kampung houses have a large open area and built at stilts.

The tall windows, lights and fans located up high, the high number of glass surfaces, etc. make cleaning and maintenance very impractical over time.

The chinese element wooden door is unexpected considering the overall exterior. All doors aligning is also a nice touch.

With such open concept design in the tropical climate, I was always questioning the mosquitoes and other insects and the challenge of design and mechanics and materials to deal with it. The nature, dragon flies is the solution?
