ОтветитьYr videos make me happy
ОтветитьMy wife is Russian (we live in Madrid) and she cooks homemade pilmini and variniki apart from many other dishes. I love them.
ОтветитьWe typically have a light breakfast, maybe two pieces of toast with coffee for my husband and cappuccino for me unless we are hosting Airbnb guests... then it is a big breakfast!
For lunch we almost always have taco meat in the fridge, so we can have a couple of tacos with lettuce, cheese, tomato... or sometimes leftover pizza from the night before.
I was prepping for a cooking class today, so I tried one of my new recipes for hotdogs, which I ate at about 11 am so skipped breakfast and used it as an early lunch... or brunch as we call it here in America.
It was two pieces of bread with a thin layer of mayonaise, then putting mozzarella cheese on it and fried hotdog pieces, smashing it together and dipping the sandwich in egg and milk mixture then frying it! Wasn't bad, but I changed it up for my evening meal and fried thin strips of onion with the fried hotdog pieces, then just buttered the outside of the bread, but changed the mayonaise for drops of ketchup and mustard inside with the cheese, onion and hotdog.... MUCH tastier! LOL
My husband ate leftover pizza that he had last night for lunch, and for supper he finished off leftover spaghetti and garlic/cheese French bread slices.
Mostly in the evenings I make myself a taco salad with the ready made taco meat, and have a taco for lunch or maybe a pork chop or leftover steak or roast beef. As ranchers we have a large freezer full of beef year round, so have as much as we like. Since we love tacos, I typically brown up 2 pounds of ground beef each week and season it and have it available in the fridge.
My husband likes hamburgers so I make that for him a lot. We don't often grill steaks unless we have company, but I like to grill extra and then slice the extra ones really thin and make Philly cheesesteak sandwiches the next day, or top a salad with it or put BBQ sauce on and serve on soft buns. My husband is a huge potato chip fan and likes them with about every meal, but I don't eat those typically.
But I like soups and stir fry with lots of veggies... which he doesn't like, so we typically heat up already prepared food that I make ahead, but different for each of us.-- Our kids are all grown and moved out, so it is just the two of us.
