If you speak only English ,we can't understand. Give a opportunity.
ОтветитьHello Peter. I have two pieces. The glaze style look like Jun glaze. The pieces are contemporary I think but I would like to confirm with you if you don't mind.
Thank you in advance for your answer
Thank you. I have inherited a beautiful xuande calabash vase. Slight blueish-greyness to the white glaze. Peonies/plum with one ?magpie in the flowers. Very delicate and thin. The bottom is glazed white. The bottom rim is narrow and so clean. There is a vertical 6 figured signature in calligraphy on the shoulder where the decoration has lessened towards the back. The signature looks like a 'Shen Du' type. Quite small writing but I've read that this is the case with his type of signatures. The actual calligraphers of that time DID copy his calligraphy. There are no cracks or chips. It is immaculate. My Mum inherited it. I just feel this could well be a genuine Xuande double gourd vase. Where the deep blackish blue is heaped and piled, there are some little tinny looking marks that show up if I shine a torch on it. I used to gently blow across the top of it, when a child, (Mum held it,) and it sounded like a flute! Would you guess its value, if genuine? Perhaps I ought to add that my Mum's grandmother was a good friend of Oscar Wilde.
ОтветитьHello, unfortunately, I do not understand English very much, but using a translator is better than nothing. Thank you for your useful explanations. I would like you to give me your opinion on some pieces that I bought from a friend outside my country. I am waiting for them to be sent to me, but do you have a contact account? I can send pictures to you so you can give me your opinion. Thank you.
ОтветитьHi sir!may i know your email add?
ОтветитьThank you sir. Informative for me 🙏❤❤❤🇹🇭
ОтветитьThank you ,very informative and interesting.
ОтветитьI have some rare looking jars wondering where i can send to you for your opinion and comment😊
ОтветитьThank you
Ответитьreal wucai was sloppy and that was right, only Qing and later wucai was better or neatly executed..
and because many imitations were provided with Ming, Jiajing and Wanli reignmarks, the connoisseurs are lost..
also some authentic objects also have cut marks.
often to remove kiln grit.
a lot is fake and you can often see it, but your explanation is not entirely correct..
now people are going to think, sloppy wucai is fake, or cut msrks at the base, fake!
while it occurs precisely in real objects, therefore the counterfeiters also imitate it.
It would be helpful if a chart of names and dates listing the dynasties was perhaps in the background.
ОтветитьThank you so much for your sharing.
ОтветитьI'm very impressed with ur video & 😱 u sure know ur bottom pieces of Ming n Quin Long periods 🤗

ОтветитьPeter, you reference "paste" often. As a hobby potter I don't think I have heard that term. Are you referring to the clay body? Always learn a lot from your videos.

ОтветитьI have come across 2 celadon saki cups, apparently xande ming dynasty. There are 4 characters which are quite defined. I've been watching your video, but I'm still unsure if they are replicas or the original thing. Is there someone who can help me identify them?

ОтветитьFrom the hands of the robber.
ОтветитьI’d like to thank you a lot for putting the effort to make this video, it’s very informative!
But I left with one question; is the blue-ish tinge of the glaze always a sign of authenticity?!
Thankyou. Intelligent people share their knowledge because they know that they too will grow through sharing with others. I appreciate your generosity.
ОтветитьPeter. the iron mark you keep talking about is the fuming of the glaze during the firing very common in the high-fiving ceramics and shows especially on the white bodies .Chers
ОтветитьDear Peter,I have an early 19th century family rose mandarin tea pot with its bespoke wicker and brass cosy case .

ОтветитьHi Peter,
I have been watching your videos for few months, Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. It surprises me, I am able to distinguish some of the original pieces at the first glance. The original are simply beautiful vs fake stale, mechanical.
Sir, how much is the pair jars painted with WU CHAI( Ching dynasty early)?
ОтветитьWonderful detail and information. Thank you.
ОтветитьHow sad that people don't know the difference between

ОтветитьMr. Peter: You explained very well, and you have a deep research on Chinese porcelain. Thank you!
ОтветитьAmazing thank you so much
ОтветитьSubscribed! I thought the exact opposite. That the brownish tinge on the footrim would have meant it was old and had seen a lot of cabinets or tabletops throughout the years. Then had been dirtied up or stained. 🙏
ОтветитьI Tried but they just wanted to be friends :(
ОтветитьPeter I have a piece I need to find out what it is worth. Supposedly ming porcelain in a beautiful carved wooden tray with a brass hanger for the wall. Who could tell me what I have from x family in laws that loved and spent lots on antiques.
