Super!
ОтветитьWell done my friend.. well done
ОтветитьAnother gem. Thank you Eric.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this! Great video & wonderful design idea.
ОтветитьI’ve watched all of your videos and have loved them . However no where in the videos unless im missing it says the dimensions of the the wood prices of the bed.? Are all of them the same size? Extremely frustrating.
ОтветитьAwesome video! Another inspired camper currently based in New Zealand. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
ОтветитьHi Eric, Paul here from New Zealand. Today I finished my camper bed inspired by your design. I have to thank you for you’re channel and ideas.
ОтветитьAre you in LA
ОтветитьHello Eric, do you have the measurements for your bed frame? Can you share?
ОтветитьDoes it get any better than this. Wow. Someone give this man a job.
ОтветитьUne autre question! Quelle hauteur le lit?
ОтветитьSalut Eric! Je me demandais si tu pouvais partager tes plans pour le lit? Je suis du Sherbrooke Québec Merci ☺️
ОтветитьI found you channel and I’m going to convert a Pajero next year, thank you for all the tips ! I have to decide wether the kitchen will be at the front like you or at the back
ОтветитьI am so grateful for this video! The detail is excellent. I am now able to copy your design and have an excellent living space inside my van without having to make lots of errors. Thank you very much!
ОтветитьCould you share the size of all your separate cushions please? I'm in planning stage for a Sienna. Also is it hard to see out the back window when driving? Or do you put it in relax mode to lower height of that back rest cushion height for better view while driving? Thanks for these wonderful videos, not sure if I would be attempting this without seeing them. Cheers!
ОтветитьBest video ever
ОтветитьVery effective design. I should have watched this video earlier.
ОтветитьMerci pour cest bellle explication
J’adore l’idée d’avoir un bench des deux côtés
C’est très ingénieux:)
Lovely vid. Well explained. Xxx
ОтветитьGreat channel. Why did you not remove the second seat at the back. Wouldn’t removing it give you more storage space?
ОтветитьI’ve recently come across your channel because i’m working on making my Suzuki SX4 sleepable for my dog and me. If it turns out that i like it, i’d like to upgrade a bit (not too fancy) to a Dacia Logan MCV. Mainly because of bed length and indoor living space. Do you think your bed, cupboard and table designs will fit into that?
ОтветитьOwsome design. I have a VW T2 panel van, and I'm looking for a similar project. Thanks!
ОтветитьI really love your design except for the legs of the bed frame. That looks like a serious trip hazard or shin killer! Yikes! There should be a way to pull those under the bed/couch when it’s in the couch position. IMHO
ОтветитьGreat design Eric, sturdy but light, and it makes all the difference that you got a professional to make the covers from that cool fabric.
Ответитьhi Eric, thank you for your project. Which size is the bed when in fully flat? Can sleep 2 people? I have made a different solution for my Dacia Logan, using for the last 2 years, but I woulf like to have a side cabinet like you. thank you if you can help, Carlo
ОтветитьFifteen million more people need to watch this play-list! Thank you so much Eric for self-lessly sharing your accumulated insights hugs I am hailing from B.C. Interior in Western Canada. I go outside to get a big gulp of that intoxicating Rocky Mountain forest air and then come in with all that insane oxygen to best absorb your genius :3
My father has often inspired me, when I was just a kiddo, with his ability to make anything anywhere all by himself. I remember him building this elevated "bed-room" in the back of a retail space in Honolulu, Oahu on a flower street (a street where many florists congregate) b/c then we can get ahead--a little faster--by not having to pay residential rent and pay for a flower shop.. It was like.. van-living without four wheels!!
But you take the same can-do attitude and re-mix it with 25 years of van-living--to really take it up another notch. There's so much elegance and thoughtfulness to how you do things. It's a sight to behold!! I love it!! I am speech-less!!
THANKS! Just rebuilt my Syncro but had no proper Idea for a Bed/Sofa- great inspiration!!!
ОтветитьWhen I built my van I used a steel R&R bed like yours and one thing you failed to mention is that it is really easy to stow your bedding and clothes behind the sofa.Ready for use when you drop into bed mode. The other part of my build was to buy a smev sink/cooker with a wardrobe unit so my bed is only 115 wide.
I was thinking that if I didn't have the wardrobe (cutting the wardrobe off) I would have a longer work surface and a wider bed, well wider at the head and shoulder end where it counts. Then I could put a high level wall unit above and access lid in the storage unit under the extended surface.
I haven't seen anyone do this.
Ive just bought the wood to make this for my van but can anyone clarify whether panel 5 has been cut to make the separate strip for no 4? Thanks 😊
ОтветитьHello Eric. I'm 6'4" tall. Would I be able to sleep comfortably on the length of bed you have in your design? Ty John
ОтветитьSalut Eric! You must be French Canadian, judging from the French accent and the way you pronounce 'project', which is Canadian. Glad to be here. I heard of your fame from other mini van builders and was intrigued. Minivan builds are the ultimate challenge for a small space. Looking forward to all your videos. Subscribed. Merci!
ОтветитьThe bed support extensions into the floor area are troubling. Consider mounting a ledger support to the face of the sink cabinet on the drivers side (this would require a slightly wider plywood bed support). On the passenger side consider cutting the support leg back to the seat cushion. Add a drop down leg similar to your table for when the bed is fully deployed.
ОтветитьStill unsure what the screw assembly does please review
ОтветитьThis is my favorite build. I don’t know if I can do it for my Subaru Outback
ОтветитьVery solid table
ОтветитьWhat thickness is the plywood?
Ответить
Great thx u.
ОтветитьHello Eric. Thank you for your very informatif and easy to follow videos. Watching from Turkiye. 👋
ОтветитьHello, Eric and all of you. Eric, I think your build-out is THE BEST for a Toyota Sienna I'm looking for the dimensions for panels 2, 3, 4, 5. What is the width of each panel? I know the width of the bed is 44", so that makes Panel 1, 16"W x 44"L, what are the dimensions/width of the other panels. Also, What is the length of the bed frame? the legs of the bed frame, and where should the legs be attached to the frame? Thank you very much! John
ОтветитьEric are panel 2 & 3 same size thank you thank you you the best
Shalimar fl starting bed also, can you give us the measurements of all five panels on your bed?
Nobody who posts these bed build videos says much about where they get the foam. I need a very firm mattress, and I hate memory foam, it's a horrible knot in my back after just one night. Where can I buy very firm foam thick enough for a bed like this? How thick is your foam?
ОтветитьIt's hard to guess at the dimensions for the panels. I know the first one is 16"x44". The others I'll just have to estimate, or model it in Solidworks.
ОтветитьHi Eric! In the front portion of your bed frame, you have the two "arms" that stick out to provide support for the bed platform. Did you consider putting those arms on hinges so that they can fold inward while in couch mode? Since they do not have the legs on them, it seems like a frame-side latch could hold them while in bed mode -- and in bed mode, they are flush with the frame itself so they get support that way. I am asking mainly to see if you tried it and found it not to work.
I know English is not your first language, and I know I do not always explain myself clearly, so let me know if I need to clarify. Thanks for making these; I love your explanations! (I live in central Florida)
We live in California.. Have been traveling in our Sienna for almost 10 years. We are traveling longer time and distance the past 4 years and we need more space, storage and comfort, We want to convert our non moving bed to a couch/bed and build more storage under bed with drawers etc.
ОтветитьJust a fantastic bed. Thanks for sharing.❤
ОтветитьThanks I really feel like I can do this now.
Ответить8020 frame? Has anyone created the frame using 80/20 or other spacing-saving structural material? Thanks for your iconic videos from New Jersey Eric, liked and subscribed!
ОтветитьAwesome videos! -Dave from Taylor, Michigan
ОтветитьThank you Eric. .The explanation is very good. I am from The Netherlands and my Toyota Yaris Verso is 23 years old, I own it for 18 years and I want to transfer it to minicamper this spring. I love your design, My car is to small for this design but I really love it. I will use your tips though. Have a wonderful travel season..
