ОтветитьOh wait so having player characters torn to bits with crunchy sounds and blood curdling screams to acompany the crushing feeling of being eaten alive by zombies is fine but oh no we might offend someone if a zombie eats a cow off-screen...honestly, this PC bull is a bit much sometimes.
ОтветитьWell luckily modders will be there for the Zombies not attacking animals thing. Sounds like a cop out for the devs for whatever real reason they have. There is in-game lore of the military killing pets and animals because of the infection event, so not having it from the zeds in the gritty, dark, and "realistic" scenario is pretty dumb. All the other stuff sounds great and still hyped for the update.
ОтветитьI love that zomboids won't attack animals, maybe the soundd animals make can still attract them .. housing your animals greatly reduces these sounds. I love this game

Ответитьforr me , one of the bigger issues is the time the games set, 1992?? or at least thats when the outbreak starts? all the weird n wonderful stuff we made since then, but theres still the internet, theres still phones, like if in game you can patch up the local phone network for NPCs, pagers, faxs, an AA gun to take out that sodding helicopter, or radio up to it asking why it gotta draw the zombies in and if its gonna observe your ass could it do it a bit further away?
its not an apocalypse if some random asshole is flying a helicopter to watch you

ОтветитьI would LOVE to see phase 3 (or maybe even 2) of NPC update be more intricate with a colony simulator style. Be able to create a safe place to live, have survivors build either preset structures or structures you designated (maybe through a custom build server??), transports, have them set off to get supplies (like 'look for weapons', 'look for food', 'find survivors', etc etc).
What would also be equally as amazing is since their idea for NPCs is to have each house hold a story (from the sounds of it, every set of zombies was once a real family and belonged to a house??) is they could make houses more alarmed and have to kill zombies to get keys for specific houses to loot. On top of that, could make a scenario where you are at the start of the apocalypse while everyone is still alive, over the course of like 12-48 in game hours could the infection spread from a random dense starting point to the entire map.
It sucks that it is years between major updates but it is better than nothing...
I think being concerned at some sort of 'moral' level about killing animals is a bit cognitively dissonant when we are playing a game where we are caving in the skulls of the undead. Seems like a weird priority and i hope it doesnt metastasize into more bizarre 'moral' positions in further updates. Dont wanna upset xyz group for whatever reason. But that being said, i cant wait for the update, looks amazing

It would be kinda cool if you could make trip wires between trees or between cars or in doorways.. maybe even between two sticks you place into the ground.. maybe at the top of a staircase and the zombies could fall down the stairs and get hurt.. also would be cool if you make them trip onto a spike trap.. or other harder implement tripwire traps like falling logs or furniture or even cars.. 😅😂 imagine placing wooden walkways between two buildings and placing something like a refrigerator or TV on the plank, tied to a trip wire in the alleyway below.. or maybe precariously leaning something like that out of a window tied to a tripwire down below... I don't know.. sounds like a funny idea..

Npc Survivors can be switched to and played as a complete character but with their own skills and abilities and moved to and placed in a spot to stand guard and if your main character dies you can continue to play as a different NPC with their skills and abilities and continue playing with your group of survivors you have found. Also you can take control of each survivor and have them guard to the north, south, east or west or this survivor guard this door and this one guards the window while this one helps you loot the store or buildings or cut trees and logs or anything like that...
am i the only one who just hates zomboid's soundtrack? like its not their fault, theyre doing an amazing job with the setting, but i just really like the noise of a field, some birds, and a couple of stray zombies moaning while i look through some empty house. feels better than the soundtrack blaring in your ear. and then you could turn on your own music with those cd mods

ОтветитьEnd game isn’t being addressed, as a concerned fan, listen and spread this out.
Here is what the endgame progression stages after mid game should look like,
1) survivors pop up for 2 months at a slow rate. This rate doubles after 2 months for an additional 2 months. (Some may harm you)
2) factions form, territory and resources are fought over by multiple factions.
3) A year or so after the first survivor and faction have fought for control, one super faction is created and your community has to fight them for complete survival, let a month of peace go by, (if you die you have the option to join winning faction.
4) super faction gets month or 2 of no conflict but then must fend off a hostile military that is looking to reclaim and clear the entire map. and your new community has to somehow figure out a way to Vietnam them or something idk someone tqke the ideq from here…
Im loving that music. Its sad, inspiring, and slightly haunting. Like your lantern light flickering as you walk through a cold, dark night. I'm really excited for the adaptive music-

ОтветитьOf all the changes in this update alone and the massive ones im excited for in the future, I feel like the adaptive music is gonna have a lot more impact than it might seem on the surface. The ambient music changing as you explore and find loot is gonna do a lot to keep the atmosphere of the game fresh even after countless hours playing

ОтветитьZeds not attacking animals makes most sense, but I want the animals to act VERY UNCOMFORTABLE near zombies. For example, they run away from zeds or keep a distance when they are around. Or, imagine you chilling in your farm house, suddenly hearing your livestock making a lot of noise, going to check that out, you realize a zombie has found its way between your livestock, that would be cool af

ОтветитьCame up in conversation recently, there was a blog post or something where the devs listed out some of the stuff they planned on adding as well as stuff they never will add themselves such as a cure, escape or OP vehicles like tanks. Can't find it anywhere. Anyone know where it is?

What major turn off to project zomboid for casuals that not too enthusiastic about survival and zombies is:
1. A lot of menu, multiple pages and filling the screen. Hope future updates can make more interactive and less menu windows.
2. Hoping the overhauls for hunting and farming does out well. And hopes buildings also get simpler menus and interactions. Well like stardew valley but a bit more realistic.
3. Have more options for food sustainability especially after electricity turn off. Like salted, dry, smoked, etc.
4. When NPCs introduced, i hoped we have scenarios and goals. I know some people like unlimited survival and how long they last. But me I loved we have goals like making new civilizations with survivors, escape, rescuing survivors as military, going to extraction points, etc. It would giving me more drives to continuing the game after awhile.
