Can you download/convert the music if it’s from Apple Music or have you brought those songs out right because it won’t let me convert to create a mp3 version

I've gone over this procedure several times on the files that I downloaded from Apple and it didn't work.

This could have been a one minute tutorial... but no.

I can’t drag the song out of music app . I did copy and paste to a file and I can’t bring the song back to Apple Music

Thanks, would be great if Apple would allow conversion! I tried this today Jan 2023 and when I went to convert to MP3 all options were greyed out. It’s music I’ve purchased from iTunes is this why? Very frustrating that I am unable to do what I choose when I’ve bought music. But thanks for your information good to see it’s worked for other people. 🙂

Perfect! I had gone into Preferences, changed Import to MP3 etc., & still hadn't worked, Apple has made it one step more convoluted than necessary. Many Thanks.
