Loved the video please do more like this!!
ОтветитьWhere tf did you get that frame from for 90 quid, online they're about £600-1000 quid a pop
Ответитьi wana see him ride it
Ответитьhm. anyhow looks like a kids bike
ОтветитьWhat’s are all the parts used in this video
ОтветитьYour voice is too gay and British m8 I can't watch
Ответитьawesome, what a great plan for aggressive riding and I learned quickly.
ОтветитьFor the love of god put a direct mount stem at least
ОтветитьSick! I had the same bike also with this red boxxer in front... loved it but that 2012 Scalp cracked between toptube and downtube right next to the welding in 2018, keep an eye on that ;) also bikes were getting bigger and bigger for a good reason since than, had a size L bike than but I think I would want an XXL from '12 now (I'm 1,90 m tall)
ОтветитьHey fellas! I know I’m a bit late to the party but I’m an avid 26” wheel downhiller!😂 I’ve got a 2015 Specialized Status 2 that I love to rip on lift access trails. It’s a relatively cheap build and you can’t beat how much fun it is!
ОтветитьI have Scott FR 30 2014, still great to ride.. I even put 27.5 wheels and it is fantastic.
ОтветитьAs a person who owns a nukeproof scalp from 2012. Ive bought the bike for £200, new forks £500, new shock £300, general service £130. £1130 in total
ОтветитьThis is PROOF that you can make a budget DH bike
Ответитьi want a downhill bike, but i dont have money :/ my dreammm
ОтветитьBudget bike build ? Maybe I missed somthing...
Ответитьcan i have it?
ОтветитьDude where are these $120 frames. Ebay in Canada cheapest is like $700 for a 2013.
ОтветитьI dont think anyone has a 1800$ fork laying around, LOL
ОтветитьGreat video and that bike looks amazing😎. Well done. Would it be possible to do a similar build for those looking to get into enduro cheap(ish)???
ОтветитьThats one hell of bike for like 800. Thank you, very inspiring !
ОтветитьGreat song ! Thanks 😊👍
ОтветитьSingle speed with smaller wheels FTW. 👍
ОтветитьTotally coping I have an old giant reign x2 from 2010
Ответитьive been riding for around 20 years and have most of the bikes/parts ive brought that havnt broken and there is no way i could throw a bike of this quality together and a nukeproof full sus frame for under 100 quid would make me suspisious if it was stolen or had some sort of major structual damage, That frame looks nearly new!. You havnt mentioned anything about replacing any bearings or the cost with that, New wheels and tyres because a sponser makes them is totally not in the theme of this video. Its a decent video but completly missed the mark on what you are trying to show. you can build a cheap bike and it can last but you saying 700 for this bike is insane ebay or any marketplace this would be up for over 1000 and it would sell very fast!.
ОтветитьHoly shit Nukeproof scalp for only 90 pounds , where i live i cant get a second hand shock for that price let alone whole frame (and it's not a rich country )
Ответитьsick video again, neil. can't wait to see you ride it.
ОтветитьSo all in all this would set you back around 2500 USD minimum if you tried to build it yourself. You would still have to buy a chain, pedals, a handlebar, seatpost, a seat, brakepads, brake fluid, spokes, nuts and bolts and all the other little stuff you didn't mention but still cost a pretty penny.
ОтветитьExcellent, that looks like a load of fun. I did something similar during lock down and stuff like Saint, Zee, Code R and Hope components are surprisingly cheap SH. I got a set of NOS marazzochi 380 Ti forks on ebay and they are great and I learnt how to build wheels with some hope hubs and Halo rims. Really enjoyable project.
ОтветитьMake a cheap build- but actually cheap
ОтветитьFantastic, just having trouble finding the Nukeproof scout frame for £90 and free wheels?
Ответитьwhat happened to the stem? 😂
ОтветитьLove this. That's what we need more of!
Ответить``We built the ultimate cheap Dh bike´´ -proceeds to use top of the line components like Code RSC brakes and Saint Cranks+Bottom bracket. The Vid was great tho I just think the Title is a little off.
Ответитьabsolutely love this video :-)
ОтветитьWell not exactly ultimate cheap :) nukeproof frame with boxxer, saint cranks, code brakes, NEW spank wheels... the only ultimate cheap thing about this is single speed and cocpit ?
But still fun to watch :)
No footage of it being ridden?
ОтветитьWould love to see a similar one for XC bikes that you could race on.
ОтветитьThis is such a good idea
ОтветитьThat's not 700$ so please stop posting bullshit. At least put some effort in these videos and start from scratch.
ОтветитьTo be fair to those criticising the use of free or sponsored parts; if he went and bought stuff a lot of the gear (old fork, 26 wheels) would be pretty cheap as they aren't fashionable. You can barely give away 26 wheels a full crown fork these days
Ответить26" downhill? Yikes
Ответитьdope!
ОтветитьThe scalp had major issues with cracks in the headtube area. Broke one myself in my first year of riding bikes
Ответитьthat frame is atleast 2000$
ОтветитьI have an alloy Santa Cruz V10 from 2012 that i bought used for about 120 pounds (definitely paid a bit too much considering the rear hub was busted among other things) and it's basically the same as this bike minus some of the cooler parts, like those sick saint cranks. Rips like hell in the bike park, i absolutely love it
ОтветитьI wold go mullet: 26 rear, 27.5 front. Cheap frame a 26 or a Meta HT 27.5". Fork Yari 27.5 and a bunch of components. A 26 mullet is quite funn. And 26-27.5 are the save of 26 frames.
ОтветитьI don't know where you could get a dh fork and rear shock serviced for a 100 anywhere
ОтветитьUnrealistic price build....
keep it real or leave it.
Love these videos should have retro build off between presenters with a realistic budget.
Ответить
