Love the new Gulias. They remind me of Jaguars. Beauty, great sound, performance and character.
ОтветитьLo sterzo della gta e magnifico sette buloncini
L ultima serie (4) x me è la più magnifica di tutte
Maybe the Mercedes drive train engineers and particularly the drive train managers should have listened to this '73 Alfa four banger for a while before they decided to ditch the V8 for a....whatever the h.ll propells the AMG63 nowadays.
ОтветитьI bought a beat up GTV2000 back in the early 80"s when I was in my 20's, kept it for 3 years, and absolutely loved it
ОтветитьI love it when foreigners appreciate Italian cars, especially Alfas 😀
ОтветитьMy second car was the same model and I absolutely loved it, would definitely buy another one in later years.
ОтветитьI wish to know the wheels and tires size of the old car.
ОтветитьCannot wait for this channel to reach 5 M subscribers 😊
ОтветитьSpeaking of alfa unreliabilty, i owned an alfa gt for 7 years until recently. The engine itself was amazing, never missed a beat, never failed to start once. It was the rest of the car that was the issue, the suspension constantly failed, the gearbox died at 85000 miles, all of the metals were just a bit weak and soft. That being said, i loved that car and was sad to let it go but the costs of maintaining it had got to a point where it wasnt cost effective to keep. Would i have another alfa? Hell yes, just need a boring sensible car for a couple of years until my bank balance improves
ОтветитьThose beautiful GTV 2000's and 1750's could be bought for less than $5k Australian back in the 80's. It makes me want to cry now. He's totally right, they are perfect looking cars. I've always had a thing for them, and now haven't seen one for decades.
ОтветитьI switched my c43 amg for the giulia qv tuned it 550 bhp Ferrari engine rear wheel drive it’s an amazing crazy beautiful car , you really need skills to tame this Italian stallion wow 🤩 but that GTV beautiful sound and the beautiful design love it!!
ОтветитьI usually like their vids but this one shouldve more focused on the 2020. Far too much attention and time was wasted on the GTV.
ОтветитьI do love the GTV (you can see my icon is a GTA). My daily driver is what I think is the modern version of the GTV....a BMW 128i...I really think they probably had one in the design studio when the penned the 128i. But I still lust for a GTV.....
ОтветитьRicci Auto Collision did an impeccable job restoring that GTV.
ОтветитьThank you for the GTV 2000
ОтветитьI road in a qv and can confirm the brakes are quite jumpy. However didn’t feel much turbo lag to me when you floor it
ОтветитьBertone designed the original Junior, at the age of seventeen.
ОтветитьLike to see comparison between CT4 blackwing or atsv with Qiulia Quad and in manual
ОтветитьHave you ever seen the 1972 Audi 100 s gt? I honestly want one
ОтветитьRecently bought a Giulia Quadrifoglio. It is as good as they say it is.
ОтветитьFOL - YO not FOL - LEE - YO. Christ.
ОтветитьEnglish can't pronounce Italian if their life depended on it.
ОтветитьAlfas and lancias before the mid 70s and with a few exceptions after that were the best cars and were way ahead of everyone else.
Ответить>Oh the Alfa did`t need an License Plate in front?
ОтветитьI had a 1972 Alfa Romeo 2000 sedan while living in Italy. It had the same 150 hp engine and 5-speed gearbox and wooden Momo style steering wheel and disc braking system and dash layout of the GTV. It did not have the mechanical limited slip and was a little heavier obviously. However, a mechanic friend with an earlier 1750 sedan retro-modded his by upgrading engine, brakes, tires, and suspension control with roll cage, and with reasonable money created a fabulous track only race car!
ОтветитьI've seen some of the lesser trims of the Giulia around where I live and they really are a very pretty car. I've seen a red one, a blue one, and a green one and they've all looked amazing.
ОтветитьPlease, sound mixing needs help! Music so loud it is hard to hear your voices. Please remix!
ОтветитьBoth wonderful. Prefer the gTV.
ОтветитьWhat a sound !!!
ОтветитьIt is sophisticated my friend !
ОтветитьThe Quadrifoglio makes my heart beat faster, but the GTV makes me weep. I had a 1750 GTV, early 70s. I really miss that car !
ОтветитьGrandad, god bless hus soul...had an alfa gt 2000...let me drive it ...fell in love forever.. alfas are cars with a soul.
ОтветитьA new car for a family, this new giulia would be top 3 choices for sure.
ОтветитьI did not know induction noise was a multi track audio experience with stereo panning, tracks fading into each other, and a David Gilmore solo buried in the mix.
ОтветитьGosh this episode got me tingling in my belly. You can feel what alfa romeo is all about, that driving feel. Your narating about alfa gave me Jeremy Clarkson vibes. Great episode
ОтветитьFor this episode, they took a Giulia of the old days to compare it with the new one.
Just wanted to underline that, in 2050, nobody will be able to find a new Giulia that still drives.
If you like twisty country roads, and driving instead of being driven, then indeed, the old Alfa is a Great Driver's Car.
Kudos!
M :)
This is the video 🍻 well done ( from portugal 🇵🇹 )
ОтветитьJust a correction. They might both share the same badge, but the modern Alfa Romeo Giulia is Alfa in badge only. Alfa Romeo as a marque, where it designed and engineered its cars in house died in 1986, with the last real Alfa designed without platform or parts sharing being the Milano/75 and the same team responsible for Alfas who developed the cars right from the 1930s until 1986. Post 1986 when the company was taken over by FIAT the whole engineering philosophy changed and the evolution of the innovative engineering stopped, and platform sharing and parts swapping became the norm to save cost, with FWD replacing RWD until the Giuia came along. The last ALFa engine designed before 1986 was the Busso v6 and went on in production in Alfa Romeos until the 2000s. The modern Alfa Romeo Giulia is really better described as a Ferrari four door in my opinion since the skunkworks team that designed it was headed by the ex Ferrari engineer that oversaw the Ferrari 458 Speciale and included also another Ferrari engineer, head of engines , and the engine of the Quadrifoglio has much of the architecture of the Ferrari California v8.
ОтветитьThis video is legend
ОтветитьMy dream 2 car garage in 1 video
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid, my grandpa got me really into cars. And he always said that Alfas were his favorite cars. Back then I didn't understand it, but as i grew older i found out that I am genuinely in love with old Italia cars. My daily is a 1960 Zastava 750, a car derived from the Fiat 600. And even with its measly 30hp, that car brings a smile to my face whenever i look at it, or whenever I drop a gear and put my foot down. There is something about these cars that just sings to me. Even the tiny 750cc carbureted engine, a damn econobox of its era, has that maddening intake noise, that whistle over the screaming engine, that redlines at 7500 rpm.
If i didnt own my dream car already, I would want to own an old Giulia
I’m lucky enough to own this garage. I have a 21 Quad and a 71 1750 GTV. ❤
ОтветитьIMO the Giulia Quad is the prettiest saloon car ever, since the 1980's onwards. an honour and total love affair to own, loving it.
ОтветитьI had an american spec 89 Milano Quadrifoglio and it was the coolest and best handling car I've ever driven.
ОтветитьThat instrument cluster looks very modern for the time.
ОтветитьI'm back again, still loving this video. Thanks again👌
ОтветитьWould u have figured it all out if there was no Alfa badge on the 2020 model?
ОтветитьAbsolutely love this episode and love this channel... keep it up team!
ОтветитьI like! I like! I like!
