Thanks for the video, great content. I was just wondering, how do you check on other shop's stats? Could you guide me to it?
ОтветитьI'm just at the beginning of a digital art store which I haven't even opened yet. It really is a step by step process. Learn, practice, perfect. Get it right, find a routine and work it over and over to success.
ОтветитьEtsy shut down my store after being open for less than a month. I followed all the rules for listing POD on Etsy - full transparency, accurate description, researching trademarks, etc. So I think they may be so saturated that new POD on Etsy may be shut down before having a chance to take off.
ОтветитьFor some reason, I'm craving a honey donut...
ОтветитьI don't want to sound like a hater but how do you come to that conclusion of their net profit ? Do you know the people personally, or did you have a discussion with them? I checked out that store, and yea, they are definitely making money, but I can't see it being the number you're stating... their products are roughly 2-6 dollars. They have sold a little over 30,000 units. Now we don't know if they used etsy ads or external ads to get traffic which we all know is going to eat into their profit. I love getting getting ideas 💡 and info from these yt views but im sort of getting sick of the nonesense exaggerations. There really is no need for it. Just gas ⛽️ lighting people.
ОтветитьI've been on Etsy for more than two years without a sale,😢 I think it's time to get crackin' again.
ОтветитьHaving reviews and sales is a huge thing to get started. If you can, get (a) friend(s) to buy something and make a 5 star photo review. Who buys something with no reviews? I know i don't. Dont make an account yourself, Etsy has detection and youll get suspended.

ОтветитьThank you for this. I was in the valley at the moment and thos helped me focus on my neich and keep going
ОтветитьIn Aleks-Quickstart-Guide.pdf, there is no longer Temporary
Listing image. Could you help me, please! I only watched your video today....!
I needed this
ОтветитьSimple question here. How on EARTH are these etsy store offering prints for $2.50 when Gelato or Pritify already charge me a minimum of $8 for the Product + Print?? Anyone???
ОтветитьI really like the contents of this video, just one thing feels kind of strange - when refering to AntiqueWhiteArt you say they're using AI but the zoomed in section of their page with a red-marked "AI" is actually their Legal Information section and there's nothing about them using AI, rather they prohibit using AI for derivative works based on their designs...
ОтветитьSuch an awesome and inspiring video! Where can we join your discord?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your thoughts, it’s really inspiring to watch your videos.
ОтветитьThank you so much. I won't give up.
Ответитьgreat vid very helpfull
ОтветитьAll your videos are so helpful!
ОтветитьThank you very much for sharing! Very helpful!
ОтветитьThanks for the info I'm going to try this.
ОтветитьI like the encouraging videos but nothing is ever mentioned how to create traffic to your site/store…that’s the main reason why some stores fail. It’s all about marketing, without it no one knows you exist.
As a side, I’m not 100% convinced the Etsy print stores mentioned are using ai to generate their products.
So, making just 1 product per design is better than making 3 products with the same design? What are your thoughts?
ОтветитьI plan on selling 3d cad graphics
ОтветитьMaybe I am missing something - but where is the inventory coming from? Does printify have the inventory and you ship from there?
ОтветитьThank you Alex, I need this words today. Blessings
ОтветитьShopify vs Etsy?
ОтветитьTV art...what are these designed for screen saver on TV
Ответитьwhat about marketing/ads? 🤔
ОтветитьSo, how do you get people to come to your store instead of the others without spending lots on marketing??
ОтветитьJust found this channel, applying myself today
ОтветитьThis is really helpful it also highlights the importance of understanding the difference between platforms. Zazzle presses their sellers to create a large variety of products for each "Collection" - if you don't they don't promote it. Lots to think about. Thanks!
ОтветитьThe throwing "thingy" @ the wall hoping it would stick stung a bit. I realized for some odd reason that that was true in my situation and would need a system drove it home with sort of a "clap" on the ear. So to speak.
ОтветитьThank you for this video. It's a no nonsense realistic video which speaks to how people feel when they first think about venturing into this kind of business. I never for a second thought, "just get on with it and tell us about it" which some videos do make you feel! This is so full of practical advice it's unbelievable and you have all through it, hit the nail on the head many times.
I run a small business. There's a lot of competition locally. Its a job I had wanted to do all my life, but I had to wait til I was 53 to have the opportunity to do it. I had never started a business, and had no clue how to. I amassed the skills to be able to do it, but putting it into practice was another thing. Getting clients was another thing too. I now have a good reputation now in my field locally and I think you know that, when people on local facebook pages recommend you to others. I didn't start my business until I was 53 before which I had been working for other people, and its a world away from what I was doing for the previous 30 years. I expanded my business to offer other services when I should have been thinking about retiring! But I'm not making enough to feel secure. I have mobility issues and my job is getting harder for me and there will come a point where I can't physically do it. So, I have been looking at the passive income field for some time and all that you've been saying in this video applies to me!! I have been finding it hard to believe that I could actually earn a living using this kind of passive income model. That was what "other people" did. I've watched and researched the best place to open a store and who to use for print on demand. Last week, I finally made a leap and opened an Etsy store, and a Printify account. That was HUGE. Opening the Etsy store and putting products on it, seems very complicated at the moment. I'm hoping that when I really study it, I'll find it's not so complicated after all. Since then, I've been gathering together designs for the products I want to sell, using Canva, Vecteezy and AI. I already had accounts at Canva and Vecteezy which I use for my current business, so I wasn't spending any extra. Making that next step to actually getting those designs on to the product seems enormous but honestly, watching this video has encouraged me a lot. It is all about belief in yourself. There have been many things in my life that I never thought I would be capable of doing, but I did, and I feel that if I can do them, I can do this and I think that's the mindset people need to try to keep. I'm going to make sure I set aside two days a week to work on the online business, without fail more if I can manage it. Thank you so much. I've subscribed to you because I think you are going to help me enormously!!
Ah question though, on Single Product focus, you mentioned that for ai Art, you would keep two separate shops, one for the printable art, and the other for physical prints fulfilled via printfy. Is that still technically one product? or should I just focus on the printables?
ОтветитьYou are an incredible inspiration and the first person on you tube that makes sense!
ОтветитьYou're are showing products that are underpriced compared to printify products(for exmaple) that somebody is going to sell on Etsy. Mistake2, t-shirt store is selling t-shirts as an average price $18.43, we all know we cannot get that price on printify ~ and maybe that's the reason they have that much sales?
Is there any tool or something i can find out that certain store is selling products using Printify or some other POD company so i can do the research?
I have a question in regards to the Quickstart-Guide. In the section "Set up payments so you can get paid" between 'How you will get Paid' and 'Set up Billing'. Why does it say "Doing this would could get your shop temporally shut shown' between those two instructions. What do you mean? Is this a typo?
ОтветитьThis was actually very motivating - thank you!
ОтветитьThank you for the encouragement ❤ my business hit a speedbump ,& i was doubting all my decisions. I know i need to be patient and allow time for it to grow but i was beginning to wonder if the sacrifice was worth it. Now i am encouraged to keep going, i love learning so i will keep learning & trying 😍
ОтветитьCan you prove your claim of $10.000 a month?
ОтветитьPls list your shop
ОтветитьThank you so much! I’ve had my Etsy shop for years… I get shiny object syndrome so badly! This has helped me and I wish I could hug you! I’m gonna get a planner and a whiteboard calendar tomorrow to keep me focused and consistent! ❤
ОтветитьHey Alek, thanks and love all your sharing, may I ask where is the link that i can sign up on Etsy and get 40 free listings? I am gonna do it this week. :)
ОтветитьHigh risk to put your original designs on a site that can be deactivated at any time. Promote your pod products on your own website.
ОтветитьI want to get started in all of this but aren’t sales platforms like redbubble banning ai-generated art?
ОтветитьI was thinking of launching a shop that is heavily text based for a particular niche - I was planning on using a massive library of different products (Shirts, mugs, mousepads, notebooks, etc) to slap the funny quotes on but Mistake 6 is telling me that's wrong? Is doing just two products like shirts and mugs still going to limit me? They'd have nearly identical designs so how would mastery of this vary?
Really great video and very insightful stuff, thanks!
4 months on rb an tvey shut you down withougt explanation
