Now the sad part is that the plan this man came up with is actually ideal, very smart, and super cheap. 288 million is spent in a few minutes by the American government every day. That's nothing. Not even a drop in the bucket when spread over 6 years. But America had its own plans and decided to take over the opium trade in Afghanistan and in turn be the world's number one supplier through Kabul themselves. The facts are that everyone loves to blame everyone else for what they do and their problems and their lives being trash. It doesn't matter what someone supplies if you have some self-restraint and discipline. It's not the fault of the dealer. If there is no demand there will be no supply. It's that simple. You only Supply what people are asking for. And unfortunately people will always ask for an escape from reality. This man is doing good by his people and isn't some selfish drug lord locked up in his own compound while everyone around him suffers and is treated like his slaves at best.

Drugs are just supply and demand like every other business, how about instead of chasing the wrong end of the problem maybe society could try to focus on the problems that get people using drugs in the first place. Head it off at the pass instead of continually fighting ridiculous unwinnable wars on drugs and other such nonsense. The only way to combat the business of drugs is to actually reduce demand, not fill up prisons with people.

There is nothing wrong with growing opium. It is a natural, very useful compound and no government anywhere should tell the rest of us people on Earth what we can or cannot posses as far as drugs are concerned. The pharmaceutical companies just don't want any competition. They want you to have to buy their opium derivative off of them. Legalize all of it and you take away the massive profits and the violence it generates.
