From the beginning they were determined that brexit would fail, not the least , by flooding the country with illegal immigrants, one of the chief reasons people wanted to divorce Europe. Democracy has been sabotaged.

I'm an Austrian citizen und I am happy to be an European citizen too and to have an European passport. I have friends in the UK and I often travelled to England and Scotland. Also very often our British friends visited us in Austria and they were happy, that we could make trips to our neighbour-countries Germany, Italy, Slovenia etc without any custom controls and free movements. As our friends now voted vor "Leave" they also left our European Family and friends and I am deeply sad about it. Why did you leave your best friends in Europe and hoping to become better citizens in a greater empire than the EU ?

The PEM Convention.
Maybe the UK should join - alongside the other EU PEM trading partners; Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Faroe Islands, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo.

Brexit - its like watching videos of those guys who shoot roman candles into their private parts, or have their friends hit golf balls into them, I have to look away; the result is just so obvious and valueless. "I want to limit my customer base to 50 million instead of 400 million - Ill get rich!"

I didn't think there were any Vauxhall cars in Australia. But I did find one. The Astra. I bought one a few years ago. The absolutely worst vehicle I have ever driven in 40+ years of owning vehicles. I've gone back to the ever reliable Toyota. Wouldn't touch an Astra again if it was given to me

The move to EV's will see the end of the British car industry as we know it today .None of the major manufacturers with plants in the UK will want to invest in new manufacturing facilities which will be needed to compete with the current market leaders .Tesla is showing the way by building huge mega factories capable of producing a million or more cars a year. And they are lowering their production costs by installing huge casting machines. China will become a major supplier of EV's that will undercut the price of most models produced by the OEM "s.

What is the origin of the brexit idea? I feel it comes from those rich suited up monkeys already swimming in money that suddenly started sweating when the EU announced their tax evasion crackdown. I'm sure they are very thankful to the common brits for their sacrifice.

The German car industry has lost half it manufacturing in the last decade, that's far more than Britain.
Yet Germany is still in the EU and I know you like to connect everything to Brexit, but it obviously has nothing to do with it. Also Brexit Britain should have been in recession by now according to the IMF, but it's not. However, Germany is , perhaps they should consider Gerexit !😂😂😂😂

also, look at the EV incentives in the US right now -
$7500 off an EV if the battery is made in north america and the car is assembled there,
$3500 off if the battery is sourced outside north america but the vehicle is assembled in the US.

Not only is this encouraging consumers to buy EV's, but it is also encouraging jobs in north america & investment in north america, & providing some protection from cheap chinese EV imports.

The UK has no plan like this, no foresight.

Ответить
Lawrence Dunn

Britain wont have a car industry at all after the transition to EV's. We needed an EV battery factory set up in the UK to support the UK vehicle assemblers, its probably too late not.

I have witnessed the opposite of brexit, when my little country joined EU all sorts of beneficial effects appeared. And i'm thinking exactly about ease of doing business with the common EU market, ease of travel as a private individual.. many many little things that Brits have forgotten or have taken for granted. You can't imagine how difficult was for us when we were so close, yet so far.
