Imagine j with his main guitar being a strat
ОтветитьI'm gonna be honest... I'm not sure what the hype is about. Everyone raves about his guitar playing but it sounds really sloppy high school garage bandy to me. Maybe that's the appeal?
ОтветитьThe look on his face when he says "Nothing on the record is a big muff or jazzmaster" is the best part of this video.
Ответить“I had to play one show with a Les Paul... it was weird, for sure” lol love J
ОтветитьFunny how seeing the strat and seeing the jazzmaster affect my perception of how they sound, vs audio only it would be different, strat sounded like Hendrix and jazzmaster sounded like j, hear with your eyes
ОтветитьChris Griffin has some nice guitars!
ОтветитьSomeone please give him a coffee
ОтветитьI luv J
ОтветитьJ is my favourite guitar collector. I'm speculating but it seems to do it not purely for the money, he just loves guitar and doesn't base them on value. I'm sure he sells some but he genuinely loves guitar and it's what it means for him to be able to play it. Playing the guitars and giving them love makes them more meaningful than valuable.
ОтветитьNo big muff or jazz master on the recordings. It's like learning that Santa doesn't exist
ОтветитьWould also be down to just watch J make eggs and shit.
ОтветитьCould a human be any cooler?
ОтветитьIs J mAscis on coke or something?
Ответить“Buy high, sell low.”
Wise words.
I love J! Coolest Dude!
ОтветитьThis is how I want my retirement to be, loads of gear, just rocking out doing whatever I want without deadlines, or briefs to meet…. Bliss
ОтветитьI had no idea Garth from Wayne’s World knew so much about guitars and shreds.
ОтветитьGet him going and you can't shut him up. :) I live not far from J. See him around town quite a bit. Just a regular dude, really.
ОтветитьI can never get over how strange it is now to have such access to artists, back when I was teenager listening to all these bands there was definitely an added layer of enigma, quite often you didn’t even know what the people in the bands actually looked like, go back through all those dinosaur albums and I don’t think there was even a picture of them in there. Unless you were lucky enough to see them live, and there will be many places around the world buying the CD’s that they have probably never visited, or went out of your way to pick up one of the few publications at the time that were even covering them.
I always loved J’s playing, he was one of the few guitarists who’s solo’s seemed to tell their own story, instead of mindlessly going for the note count record he always delivered a solo with its own melody.
I didn't know that J can speak so incredibly fast. This must be a fake.
ОтветитьWow, he’s really the life of the party.
Ответитьimagine being his grandchild, the dream i want to live
ОтветитьWoa he seems happy and talkative in this one
ОтветитьWise investment advice here. J says he's no good at investing EXCEPT he's been investing in something he knows, that's the key. Even if your not trying to invest.
Ответитьlook at this guy's shoes
ОтветитьLOL @ all the Dave Gilmour/John Mayer fans saying "Who is this guy?" and "He can't play". Also, three million people all saying "Play this at 1.25 speed" and thinking they thought of it first.
If you don't get it just move on. No one will miss you.
am I just high or is he high? Loved him tho... went and listened to his albums and I'm feeeling the teen years even harder
ОтветитьReally high action on that Jazzmaster
ОтветитьThat was entertaining.
ОтветитьDidn't that the blue Tele that make a cameo appearance in the "Feel the Pain" video?
ОтветитьOh wow I haven't heard mention of Daddy's Junky Music in years!!! I stupidly traded my awesome 1989 Strat for a much less awesome Strat at their shop in New Britain CT in 1991. The first of many poor choices I've made with guitars...
Ответитьa 65 JM in LPB for $600. Insane. Notice his TOM bridge the saddles are all the way down, all the same.
Ответитьlove how the pedals are just randomly thrown in piles on the shelf. lol
Ответить"...If I had $50 I'd buy THIS guitar" - Total BS - He came from a VERY wealthy family (father was a successful dentist, etc)
Ответитьwhat's that, 60-something?
yeah, something.
i love a guitar nerd. i never got into pickups
ОтветитьLove the jazz master guitar
ОтветитьWow! I've never seen J so animated. Thanks, this was great.
ОтветитьLol! I love J so much. Such a cool guy. Genius Guitar player. I think its so funny the way he just picks his guitars up with reckless abandon!!😂
J! these guitars are priceless!!❤️🩹
Is it just me or is his sound and playing in this video a little cringeworthy? I dint see or hear anything very good. Sorry, my personal take.
ОтветитьI never noticed J’s giant hands previously.
ОтветитьI hate this guy talk. ^^
ОтветитьI’ll take the blue jag off your hands for you J! ;)
Ответитьthat first riff and tone sounds like inquisition! wonder if J likes black metal??
ОтветитьTruly the Ben Stein of indie rock
Ответить
