I have a friend that works for a company owned or heavily invested by Apollo in telecom, it’s a new company , the company I work for was bought by a European private equity firm that buys companies or leverages high percentances of stakes

why would companies pay thousands for the classes when they are available online for less? I'm guessing there must be some difference in the class itself. B/c it is in person vs online perhaps?

Truth is most people get into VCs and PEs through connections.

Enjoyed the video, it was informative. But you are incorrect in stating that PE Funds buy 100% of a company, as that is rarely the case. They are buying a majority stake, but there is often rollover, management coinvest, limited partner coinvest, or all of the above.
