Why am I here? I went to sleep listening to some political documentaries, how did I end in a scientific video about someone who almost faked a noble prize or smt?
I myself do not care about noble prizes.

Super irrelevant point but i just noticed: Günter grass (literature nobel price) critizised and thematicised eugenics during nazi germany in his work. So the word appearing is not a negative sign.

There is some other critic:
He was drafted into the SS at the age of 17 (though that is not a fault of his imo), and one of his israel-critical poem has been suggested to have antisemitic undertone (though this is debated both in Germany and Israel)

fun fact about alexander graham bell: he was married to a deaf woman! and while the telephone has led to great advancements for deaf people (there were visual telephone! they’re super neat! he didn’t do that tho), he also was concerned about deaf people marrying each other and creating a “deaf race.” not only is that obviously bad, it’s also just not true. most deaf people don’t have deaf parents. anyway dude was weird
