The name "Rottweiler" comes from the original breed which was founded in a town in Germany called "Rottweil" so therefore that has to be where the original bloodline springs from.

Roman Rottweiler is a crossbreed of German Rottweiler, Neapolitan Mastiff And Cane Corso but Rottie's blood are more dominant than their bloods.

The standard of docking needs to get taken down. Dogs now and days aren't used for heavy work, that their limbs aren't in danger of getting caught in anything. There's plenty of working dog breeds that don't have to get docked. People now and days do it because they will look "meaner" and find it funny to see them try shaking their tails when don't have one. Some complain that they have strong tails and don't like getting wacked. If you cant handle a strong dog breed then don't get one, it's that simple. Without tails, it makes it harder for us to understand our dogs emotions such as if they are anxious or not for example. Docking is quite literally mutilation, these puppies definitely still feel pain, they don't understand. The only reason why vets still do it is to get money in their pocket. You are going to lower your dogs health to feed the systems pockets?

I adopted a female Rottweiler who had long legs her head was perfect. He eyes weren’t close to together and markings were perfect. He head looked symmetrical and she looked like a girl very feminine features. Too bad she was fixed her puppies would have been perfect. She was 110 lbs

AKC needs to get rid of tail docking. It is barbaric and inhumane.

Docking tail does not hurt at the appropriate age and is safer and is a Rottweiler characteristic.

This video is a pack of nonsense. American Rottweilers are not any different than German Rottweilers because most American breeders have dogs with German bloodlines. Germn Rottweilers are not bigger and stronger than American Rottweilers. Gettling a Rottweiler puppy with a tail is risky because Rottweilers have not been bred for tails and some have tails that look AWFUL. Tails must be docked no later than three days after birth and using a local anesthetic eliminates any pain- they don't even whimper

I have a German Rottweiler with a long tail, and she’s a tall gal. Her parents were shorter and stockier, but they were weight trained from a young age, and my girl was not. She’s a big fish and loves to swim. I think her swimming had something to do with her modelesque physique. She’s pushing 9 now and has not one health issue ❤️

I have a docked 4 yr old Rottie, with AKC papers indicating German breeding. He has longer legs than most German bred males I have seen, he has a very nicely shaped large head, and weighs 135LBs, I have tried to get him to be more athletic, he participates briefly but quickly loses interest. The one exercise he does seem to enjoy is tugging. He also absolutely refuses to get into any vehicle, which at his size makes trips to the vet and wash problematic. When he was a smaller dog, we could lift him, but now we would have to use a crane. He is a great, gentle family pet, and is very tolerant with our visitors, however he is very aggressive with strangers outside of the fence. He also will not tolerate any other animal on our property boundary, he killed our 6 chickens when my wife and I went fishing. I also saw him kill a coyote 3 or 4 weeks ago. He has never displayed any aggression or vicious temperament to his human pack members, we have no idea how to change or influence his current mental make up. We live in the mountains, have a large fenced property and have few neighbors. People come up to enjoy our cabin and the nearby outdoor activities. He is always very good with everyone who visits us. I guess this is what you get with Rottweiler ownership. All in all, my wire and I are very happy with our big boy, and he is very happy with us.
