How could you exclude what, for me, is quite possibly the all time greatest insult from the episode ‘Head’ and one that I’ve filed away in my own brain and subsequently quoted many a time …

Man, Lord Blackadder wasn't the most benevolent nor the most selfish, but he was the most witty.

It's still brilliant. Everything about has stood the test of time.

I completely agree with Lion Man's comment that the writing for Blackadder was top notch. One must pay close attention to the dialogue to pick up on the cleverly hidden jokes and innuendos in typical English style humor. Indeed, Rowan Atkinson seemed to have been in his element while he played Blackadder.

Blackadder provided me and my family with lifelong jokes.

Blackadder II is such a step-up to Blackadder 1. I found the first season always so hard to get through because the first Blackadder was so unlikable (maybe intended). But Blackadder II is witty and intelligent.

Ive always preferred Rowan Atkinson as black adder rather than mr bean he's so much funnier hotter and his character has more to him
