SCIENCE! Good job. Often wondered about this.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьThanks for doing this. I keep a few thousand rounds in my house for target practice (I buy in bulk to save $) and I've always worried about a house fire and the risk posed to any firefighters by my ammo. Glad to know what while its still potentially dangerous, its not as powerful as I feared. Your results make sense from a physics view since the cartridge is not confined inside a barrel.
Ответить🎶 I-I-I-I shot the candle 🎶
🎶 But I did not shoot the ballistic gel 🎶
I feel like it's safer in front of the exploding bullet. the rest just flies everywhere at high velocity
ОтветитьSpeed of light.
ОтветитьBoolyet
Ответитьthanks man, for answering this question.
ОтветитьI did this once with a 9mm Luger round, and it took whole 3 minutes to explode from the heat, but that's because I dropped it in the pile of hot embers that I took out from a furnace, and the fun thing is how an empty case looked like a flower in the aftermath of the explosion, and not like a normally shaped cartridge case as when fired from a gun.
ОтветитьMight have been good to put a brick behind the cartridge since the cartridge doesn’t have enough momentum to kick the bullet forward. Otherwise the bullet just bounces off the jello.
ОтветитьThis is why no one uses 22 calibre anymore
ОтветитьSimplest rifle
Ответить👍👍👍
ОтветитьHoly shit
The 7.62 launched a counter attack on the candle
But, what about the 30-06 in the thumbnail?...
ОтветитьIt’s crazy how well the projectiles preserve, usually they flatten upon hitting a hard enough target
ОтветитьMost people dont realize that when its just the whole bullet and casing without a barrel to keep the case from blowing up it isnt the bullet you should be worried about. You should worry about the fragments from the casing potentially blinding you

So, yes?
ОтветитьOf course
ОтветитьHow hot doea it have to gwt to cook off a eound accidentally ?
Ответить7.62x39mm truco😂
ОтветитьWRT exploding ammunition, it's not the round that's dangerous, it's the cartridge. Since the cartridge is generally lighter than the round it becomes the component that separates the quickest. They also tend to tear open when they separate and can travel at high rates of speed. Although not necessarily deadly, they are flying shards that will cause superficial wounds.
ОтветитьNice clip - terrible music, had to cut you off early!
ОтветитьNguy hiểm quá 💀💀💀
ОтветитьДибелизм
ОтветитьThat was awesome, thanks for fulfilling my most intrusive thoughts, 🙏
ОтветитьУдивительно что у автора все 10 пальцев на руках! Не хватает интриги.
ОтветитьDo that in some HE cartridge if the projectile will explode
ОтветитьHow Did it Fire Without The Gun😲
Ответитьl like 5.56mm Caridge
ОтветитьXD
Ответитьбаран без потроника и ствола не смысла так полить их просто будет розрывать
ОтветитьI was once at a hunting camp on a chilly morning standing around a campfire. I bent over to put more wood on and five or six 20ga shotgun shells fell out the pocket of my hunting vest into the hot coals. I frantically reached in, embarrassed and scared and grabbed them out, burning my fingers in the process. The best part was the now fond memory of the comment made by one of the old guys nearby. He said to me very casually, "Don't worry too much about that, son. They generally have to be in the gun to get organized enough to cause any harm."
ОтветитьFascinating. Thx for doing this.
ОтветитьIt needs a barrel to go straight
ОтветитьThe bullet projectile itself is basically harmless BUT the scrapnell is. My neighbor was killed that way
ОтветитьOK til the shotgun shell with the [c]rap "music". What's with that?
ОтветитьRuined the video with the rap bunk
Ответить7.62 was like a guided missile
Ответитьwell it would hurt
ОтветитьIt’s dangerous for the eyes and u get strong burn from the fragment. One idiot let one role into the fire, I got the shell on the hand, 3 degree burn, but only a small area.
ОтветитьI started a small smudge fire for the bugs while doing some work behind my barn and heard a pop and something hit me in the side of my belly. It gave my a little burn and grazing. Stung like hell. It was from about 10' to 12' away. Cooked off shells are no joke. A temple hit straight on would've been deadly. Luckily my fat gut absorbed the hit.
ОтветитьPrimer exploded before the main gunpowder on the 7.62. I think you should have tried that one with the candle being a bit further from the primer.
ОтветитьMad labs 😂
Ответить762 got em with the 180
ОтветитьDo you ever try it firing the primer with electricity instead ?
ОтветитьDidn’t mythbusters determine that the casing is deadlier than the bullet in this situation
ОтветитьIm gonna try this with a .44 rem mag.
