Watching the Entire ROCKY Franchise Changed Me.

Rocky is great because he is a fighter but he isnt a violent mean man, fighting isnt about dominating others, its about himself

Rocky IV is spectacular, and TRUST me, creed II builds off that storyline and is sensational!

Now you have to invest the Rambo franchise, from First Blood to Last Blood.

When i was young I thought Adrian had a change of heart in Rocky 2 because she wanted Rocky to be happy. Now I know she realized manual labor about killed her and he needed to go make that money lol.

Star Trek 1-4 needs to be on your list. Star Trek 1-4 goes with Rocky 1-4 in a VHS collection. But stop at 4. Kinda like Rocky 5, or phase 5 of Marvel, you have to be a major fan to watch it. Starting at Star Trek 5, you have to be a dedicated Trekky that's just there for the visuals and not the story. But 1-4 are good, and #4 might be the best. But other than a little plot hole, #2 is.

I think the Rocky franchise is less a "boxing movie" and more about the story of Rocky and Adrian.

when shooting rocky 4 Stallone told Dolf to really go full contact on him so it would look real, wich ended up with Stallone hospitalised for a couple of weeks. see Dolf acctully has a black belt in karate so he really could punch and he also has a master's degree in chemical engineering from sydney.

And acctully age is a big deal in combat sports, you arent as fast and your reaction isnt as good. and you have a harder time to build up physiqe so an "older man" will never be as good as a young man when you look at it from a pure technical side.

Talking about III, I’m pretty sure getting hit in the face repeatedly to tire out your opponent is not a real strategy. Tiring him out makes sense but you don’t stop blocking punches. Even a boxer can only take so much punishment.

Rocky is such a relateable character, especially for a lot of men, since he's an everyman, a guy who's just trying to get through the world one day at a time.
He was always my hero as a kid, but these days, I relate to him even more. Things haven't been so great for me for a while, and it helps to have someone who never gives up to remind me that I can still do it.
I also love how you see the characters' weaknesses; Rocky's is underconfidence, Apollo's is overconfidence/pride. Also, I think that a lot of people overlook the subtlty of Drago's character. He's very clearly a man who wants to say something, but he's under constant scrutiny from his Soviet handlers, and his wife. He's just a soldier with all these hopes riding on him, so he goes all-out, and kills Creed in the process. He might be the villain, but he's kind of tragic. He has no voice, he has no free will, because his government made him into a weapon. When he eventually snaps, and tells his handlers where to go near the end, it's him finally speaking for himself ("I fight to win! For me! For ME!")and showing Rocky the respect he's due.

I find it kind of ironic that up to this point Tommy Morrison AKA Tommy gun is the only actual boxer in all of these movies Yes that's all right he was actually a fighter and sadly he died of age just a few years after this movie came out RIP Tommy Morrison 🙏

The reason why boxers hate southpaws is when youre learnt to box u learn a specific technique and rhythm. Your expect certain punches to come from specific directions..u practice so much where its muscle memory. You arent consciously throwing every shot. Its done with muscle memory, your combos. Fighting a southpaw totally reverses the puches. No different to learning to drive for 20 years then getting in a car and when u turn the stearing wheel right the car turns left. Theyll be moments in the fight where you will forget that detail, muscle memory will kick in n youll get hit with shots u wont see coming. Which is number 1 cause for being knocked out. Oh n i hope that wasnt real raw eggs u jus drank, the quality of eggs nowadays youll end up giving yourself salmonella poisoning 😂

All Rocky movies want to make you work out or even try boxing!! Just great great movies all around my favorite is Rocky 4, Stallon was just perfect in this movie, his acting had grown so much since the first three movies.

Stallone was not happy with the way Rocky ended with Rocky V. So he came up with Rocky Balboa. He gave Rocky V Zero out of Ten. Thank you for your time and effort that you put into your channel.

The best part about these movies when they came out was that you never knew if there was going to be a next one. Movies were so much fun back then.

Sly has always said Rocky is a love story not a boxing movie-it just happens to have boxing in it. I agree with what others have said Sly is very underrated. He’s a great guy/actor/writer/director who doesn’t get enough credit. I wish I could see the bio pic he made a year or 2 yrs ago about his life and how he was abused

Rocky is life for so many of us, he's an idol, a reel hero that you believed to be a real life hero and grew up with, whom you looked up to, with whom you laughed, cried, struggled and overcame things as if you were there with him all the way. Stallone will always be my GOAT for creating and giving us Rocky in our lives.

The first rocky is actually a romantic drama, and boxing is the side story.
