They have been digging on that small island for over 200 years, since the late 1700's. The island is just under than a mile long and just under 1/2 mile wide (1.6 km L X .8 km W). That is only 140 Acres and is less than one square mile and the digging on Oak Island has become the the very meaning of the words "Money pit". The bedrock of Oak Island is in two forms, on the Northern end is a type of Shale rock. On the Southern end where all the digging is, the islands bedrock is made up of Gypsum & Limestone, the perfect material for the natural formation of caves, tunnels and sink holes. Many sink holes on the island are mistaken for dig sites. If there was any treasure on Oak Island it was found and taken long ago. But I guess you could say the real treasures of Oak Island are the artifacts that they have found. Other than that, I doubt that there was any large amounts of gold or anything else like that buried anywhere on Oak Island. As much as I would like to see these brothers strike it rich I doubt they will find a cave or vault will millions stored underground.

Every time somebody has found treasures the government has taken most of it they should have kept it quiet I now the show helps funds the dig but that could be there mistake
