Good video, but it makes no sense to hitch to your truck before filling it. Huge lose of capacity. Not the heavy to lift the end when full. I have a 36 gallon also.

Maybe buy a box of the xxl disposable black gloves from harbor freight to wear OVER your gloves, you can wash them on your hands a few times and reuse, but saves your other gloves from germs. Like washing them b4 hopping in your truck, idk, Germaphobe here.

Just bought a 28 and will be using it for the first time in a couple weeks. Bought the float indicator gauge too. Question is do you have to remove the gauge to rinse the tank? If so that would be messy? Or just not use the rinse port?

Hi guys, really enjoy all your videos. You mentioned in this one that you often use a macerator, I’m assuming to pump the black water tank up into your portatote that you placed, empty into your truck bed for hauling to dump stations that are too far away to simply hook the full tote to your hitch? Do you have a video showing how you do this? Thanks for your great work!

We keep our rv in another place. It's where the antiques show is in and the way you get your black and grey water emptied is with what we call the poopy trucks. They come and suck out your tanks when needed. They quit running the last Sunday of the show and it took us 4 days to get packed up. We weren't there the full day so we didn't need the restroom that much. I was looking for a tank just like this when I saw your video pop up. Thank you for your knowledge and sharing it with us. I like how you explained about getting all the extra doo dads that help you empty your tanks and how to attach that wire piece to haul the tank to the waste dump.

I personally would use the second connection he used to empty... it would then draw the water more thoroughly...

Answered my question right off the bat. I was trying to find out if I should connect to truck before or after filling. Great easy to understand video. I had a heck of time figuring out the hitch handle. Finally like doing a brain puzzle I got it !!!

I put my empty 36 gal tank on the tailgate and strap it in place. Then I use my macerater pump to fill it. I bought the 36 gal because my three waste tanks are all 30 gal. Now I can dump my black tank with no worries about an overflow. I am a solo traveler so EZ=happy!
