I love and use inner barends. I need them because my broken wrist never got back to 100% and so i can rest it. And colored tires RULE!

All my bikes are bright colors, except my standard. I just ordered a purple 27.5 hardtail. No 29’ers or motors for me

I still use my Ergon GS2 grips with integrated bar ends. It's certainly not a necessity for me, but it does provide a bit more comfort while climbing, and being able to switch up your hand position during longer rides can help a bit

I love my DH bike, even after it broke my arm.
On the bright stuff side, my bike is bare aluminium and black. My ride shirt is black with red logos. All my armor is black, helmet is black. Trousers are grey. What a travesty.

My bike matches a bit

I just got an all black bike and ordered all bright green parts for it. My blue bike has all blue and red parts on it. My black road bike has all red parts on it, even re-laced the spokes with alternating red/black spokes.... I see people daily on the MTB trails with bright colored clothing. I wear bright colored socks and helmet (easier to see so someone doesn't smash into you flying in the opposite direction in a heavily wooded trail). I have a few color matching helmets, socks and jerseys too for my various bikes :D .... We call the loud hubs the SWARM OF BEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS!!! LOOK OUT!

I had bar ends on my Trek Marlin hardtail. Right up until I had the 30+ mph laydown after the catastrophic rear blow out. The road ground completely through the side of one of the bar ends. Didn't bother replacing it, just got rid of them.

I suspect that threaded headset cups would tend to unscrew themselves and loosen over time.

E-bikes will remain...because being a lazy beta, is always the lowest common denominator.

I've got tons of colored parts on my bike, granted it's subtle with the color being copper/light tan but my bike looks absolutely gorgeous with the copper/tan accents and the tan wall maxxis ardents and I've started switching out all of my bolts with cooper colored titanium bolts from Better Bolts. I went through a stage though where I had a bunch of red parts on my bike which didn't really look right with my frame being matte black with Blue decals. Then I went through a phase where I switched the red parts out with black or blue parts but I didn't really like it because it made my bike look too stock. I'm keeping the tan/copper accents, it just looks awesome and not too over the top.

Threaded headsets; why not? Sounds great to me 🎉

Threaded headsets will just be a nightmare as whichever way you have the thread turning it'll naturally work one of the cups out, BB's only work as they have sided threads that stop this happening.

Oh and love my loud hubs, especially Hope ones. Better than a bell for walkers and it's always been a sign of quality, You can go too loud though!

i like those white onza tires tho, i dont think matching parts are out at all and loud hubs are definetly in. downhill bike is debatable and the restis definetly true

I love my plus bike (salsa timberjack) it's just a fun bike. Tires are a bit temperamental. These days it's my city bike

I run with bar ends I have pretty broad shoulders and even with wide bars I find when commuting to work on the E-MTB I’m just more comfortable on the bar ends. But when off road hands on the bars normally.

The downhill bike it all depends were like here at fort William almost everyone has a super enduro AND a dh bike but in England there arnt as many dh bikes

Big thumbs up for DH bikes. I've had two bikes. One do everything and an enduro. Ended up using the enduro for lift days only. Got a DH. Best decision ever. Waaay more fun than the enduro was.

I love you guys but god the you guys sometimes really have the most middle of the road opinions, is it a british thing? Sometimes you guys give a connoisseur vibe where you’re picking and choosing the most boring least creative choices in the industry and not really doing a whole lot to give back to the creative pool, maybe open your minds up a little.

I wanna switch to 27.5’s from 29’s on my pivot trail 429 but I’ll have to go to 2.6” minimum. Am I gonna regret this? I just don’t like the way the 29’s jump and handle the tight twisty stuff.

I know it’s more for entertainment then anything but who cares for aesthetic trends on bike ? Isn’t it more personal then a car and not so serious ?

Travel adjustable forks - pretty standard in low to mid tier and that’s okay because I prefer the detailing of HSR LSR and compression.

And beside bigger tires and handlebars nothing really change handling.

But as always I really enjoy this kind of videos for reminiscing and inspiration ☺️👌

I have a fat tyre hardtail and I love big sized tyres so much. When I did a dream (super-enduro 180mm front/163mm rear) build half an year ago, and had to really spend time searching for a frame that can fit 2.8/3.0 tyres, I spent maybe 4 months researching and looking into bike frames, to my surprise only Chinese brands still make such frames, but hey Kinesis had me covered, I did it guys! I built my dream bike!

I still run coloured tyres..

Vittoria Booze lite in brown on my NS Decade V2.. I feel it really ties the build together and is quite the opposed to cheapening the build..

They weren't selected simply for the colour, the tread and sizing is absolutely perfect for my riding style

I just got into mtb and I got the most colorful bike, apparel and part's I could find. The flat color trend is boring. Plus Im pretty sure the closer me and my bike look to an advanced high tech alien space craft, the faster I'll go and the higher ill fly.

I don’t think you know how tires work same as drag cars more tire more traction as why they wider you go more surface area is covered. Might just need better tire I never had issue with my 27.5 plus tire and I used my fuse as dirt jumper and things it should have not been threw and my tires did just fine I’m honest thinking g of running a mullet with 27.5 plus and 29

ergon makes grips with bar ends still. I love my 27.5+ and 29+ tires. I have 29x2.8 front on my bike with a 2.6(measured to 2.66) rear.

How about mullet wheel size setup?

27.5+ here. (27.5 x 2.8) on the rigid bikepacking rig. Plus tires IMHO add a good amount of cushion to non-suspended bikes or hardtails. Don't think I'd run them on a full suspension though.
