Been living here my whole life of 43 years. I can tell you this- everything wants to hurt or kill you. Even the air can kill any newcomers. Look up valley fever. The cactus, the sand, the critters, the sun, the wonderful desert trees. You mentioned flash floods but I don't think I heard you mention the stupid motorist law. Try to drive through a flash flood, get stuck and have to be rescued, you will be paying for it.

I’ve been here nearly 20 years and I will NEVER get used to the summer heat. People think I’m crazy when I say I’ll take a brutal winter over a brutal summer any day.

The traffic is horrible. Almost every part of the metro area is under constant construction. You can't go even a few miles without being delayed. I love to see one guy working while 6 ppl watch them.The people. A lot of Karen's and assholes live here and we seem to attract the worst types of people from other states.the rent and home prices are through the roof.The heat. The heat gets worse ever single year,and the state seems to have an aversion to shade structures.Drugs. we have an apocalyptic epidemic of drugs and druggies here that no matter where you go cant get away from. Asshole drivers. If you've never thought you could possibly be shot just going to work or the store drive in the metro area for a month. Cheaply constructed homes. 90% of the homes are literally chicken wire,foam and stucco they are not built to last 30 years. My home is 20 years old and it's already falling apart. You covered a lot of it. Thanks for your honesty

I live in Goodyear. I hate what's happened over the last 10 years. It's like California is officially annexed us and we're now Eastern California. I get my pension in 10 years and I can't wait to get out of the country.

The heat, it hits 100 degrees by mid April and stays there until mid october. If you live in a modest size home your electricity bill will be $500 a month in the hot months. Even pools can get too hot to be in, and it never cools down at 4am it will still be 90 degrees. Enough said.
