Thanks for sharing your walks and scrambles and the boggy pits of Ireland. No wonder Ireland is related to the colour of green, its awesome.
ОтветитьThank you so much. It has been very inspiring to me. I will bring 11 Danish hikers with me to Beara next year hiking most of the trail you made here👣👣. I hiked half the Kerry way 10 years ago. I love Ireland and have been there several times both walking, visiting beautiful places and Lovely friends there. Best regards Inger Arensbach, Denmark
ОтветитьI’m really enjoying watching your videos you’ve made some really good content. You’re a very special person your kindness for nature and wildlife is very appreciated. Hope you’re doing good with your health.
Good luck to you and keep the videos coming!!🎉
You made a great video there. The Ring of Beara is fantastic. However, my wife and I opened it up by car in 2 weeks. It was incredibly beautiful. I'm getting longing.
ОтветитьGrand job, Abbie! The Beara is on my list to do, too. I hope you gave the Kerry Way a go after, I did 3/4 of it in 2019 and it was a real beauty. Keep wombling and stay wild! :)
ОтветитьVery enjoyable.
ОтветитьLove your videos because you show the reality of up times and low times as well. Not just the instagram ideals. The tid bits of education you provide are great and I love learning some of the history. You are encouraging me to get out and about in my own area and plan for some future trips farther out. Your tin whistle playing was FABULOUS!! Love and good wishes!
ОтветитьThis was wonderful Abbie! Your tin whistle skills are excellent! OMG though the poor collie dog that was tied to the fence was hard to watch. That poor bloody dog! Thank you for being such a fabulous human and for the excellent content and magical hiking.
ОтветитьAll I know where ever you go You don’t miss any thing girl I think you the wow
ОтветитьHi Abbie ! Unfortunately there are a lot of fatal collisions on Irish rural roads due to their narrowness and some are quite busy. Can I offer you some advice ? It's a good idea to wear high visibility clothing while walking. Otherwise, people tend to be hard to distinguish from their surroundings. Just a strip of reflective yellow will make all the difference. Thought I'd mention it to you. Love your videos !
ОтветитьThank you for your courage and caring to see it through for the Pup. If you haven't already, you should consider Creative Writing and publishing a book or two...or more. Very enjoyable video, thank you from Canada...cheers!
ОтветитьI have been watching loads of your videos over the last while. The one thing I notice is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of wildlife on your hikes...other than birds / deer. My biggest worry is being out on a long hike and running into bears or an angry moose....especially if wild camping.
ОтветитьHi. I seem to be working my way through your walks lately. I've not seen much of Ireland by other hikers I watch and this was a real treat to see. Such awesome scenery and wildlife.
You had me bopping with the pipe aswel. Mint.
Mant thanks.
Great walking route, we have a border collie called Daysie, she and we thank you. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Ответить멋집니다
ОтветитьThis is a wonderful video. I watched it in it's entirety last night and could feel the calm and serenity. Your narration and positivity is wonderful. I am from Cork but live across the big pond. Have done so for many years now. People absolutely need to get out there more and enjoy these beautiful places. And I hope parents encourage their kids to be more active, leave the phone for a few hours.
ОтветитьRespect.
And you did that tin whistle proud.
Watching Abbie loving it subscribed. As
Well.
Hey Abbie! Your video has inspired my sister and me to do that same path this September. Do you happen to have a packing list or recommendation of things we MUST bring?
ОтветитьThat was a fab video of my home world Ireland 🇮🇪 it's making think to do a cycle 🚴 trip of my home and a camp trip could be on the good.
A real muddy video. Brendan IRL
Love the video Abbie and well done for getting that dog abandoned seen to .
ОтветитьGreat video Abbie, amazing places. PS: That bullet shell you picked up is a Blank 5.56mm round. 😊
ОтветитьThis has got to be one of my absolute favourite trail videos of yours, Abbie. I know you've said you sometimes struggle with your mental health, so seeing the sheer joy in your face as you walked this one, I just couldn't help but smile too.
The tin whistle playing was also really impressive, what a lovely little tune 😊
Love Glengarriff and the Beara Peninsula, but few are as intrepid and as fearless of you Abbie. Those bogs are a real challenge, and if paths are marked out to encourage walkers they should be made accessible. Otherwise, it's no fun to get stuck in a bog. I think the Dingle Peninsula is dry by comparison. The mountains are higher with more drainage. But, there are bogs too. Love your tin whistle playing.
ОтветитьWow! I'm from the other corner, the SE 💚 I'm so happy you had a great time. What a fab trip 🌼 you were spot on to check on the collie, hope he was curled up in a cosy kitchen somewhere nearby. I travelled the Beara peninsula with my son and we giggled so much getting on the cable car at Dinish ... we hid behind a rock on the other side, scoffed our snacks and headed back ... but he was only small. Such a beautiful place 🌼💚🌼 hope you get to come back sometime. Oops edit to say you're deadly at the tin whistle🌼🎶🌼
ОтветитьThank you so much for this beautiful treat. The Beara Way is definitely going on my Bucket list. Thank you for following up on on the beautiful and kind dog. You are awesome!, and so are your videos,,,Thank you
ОтветитьWoo woogreat jig on the whistle!
Ответитьloved the tin whistle solo...you have mastered that tune. thank you. thank you too for taking me to parts of beautiful Ireland that i may never get to see. Bless your ramblings Abbie.
ОтветитьAbbie you truly are a beautiful person xxxxx enjoyed your video so much . You keep going Hun xxxxx much love from your friends in Wales Ritchie and Raven x
ОтветитьFantastic video, thinking of doing it myself now. You’re a lot better than I am with the tin whistle :(
ОтветитьThank you so much for producing and sharing these videos.
ОтветитьYou are awesome! I’m enjoying this so much! Beautiful and I love your narration.
ОтветитьExcellent video
ОтветитьHi Abbie, really glad you enjoyed yourself. I enjoyed your piece.
Be sure to come back and see us again.
Wow this video was super inspirational! Originally had zero intention of watching a 1hr 48min video but there I was glued to the screen throughout. I'm from Cork but lived in London the last 12 years so I miss this kind of landscape(and bog!) very much! Had intended to do the ring of Beara last summer but got a bee sting in the eye so spent the last few days of my trip in a hotel with ice on my eye... Thank you Abbie for looking after the doggie and showing us such an amazing part of the world. I have liked and subscribed !
ОтветитьWow, just wow. 1h48m of pure awesomeness.
Please tell me the irish board of tourism paid you to do this.
I'm seriously contemplating travelling there and am checking flights from Copenhagen to Ireland.
That route is absolutely gorgeous
The piranah sign killed me
I also got alot of Monty Python vibes: Bog bog bog bog bog bog bog
Poor doggo! But damn what a respons you got. awesome people.
Dacapo!! You really brought out that irish vibe - I could totally have a pint or two to the tune of your flute. Cheers and thanks for the ride!
Great video! Stumbled upon your video while doing research for my own hike of The Beara Way. The scenery is mesmerizing. Really looking forward to it now.
ОтветитьWow, hands down one of the best trail/hiking vids I've ever watched. Beautiful narration, reflections and editing. You absolutely did the right thing for the dog too, so glad you were taken seriously, the poor thing 😥. The beara way looks stunning, it's definitely going on my list! 😁
ОтветитьHi Abbie, great series of videos I've been watching the last two days. Inspirational. I'm new to video publishing myself and just completed my own secret beach series around south west peninsula. I need to improve my sound quality so I'd be really interested to know what you use for your on-camera sound recording equipment? Thanks
ОтветитьShoes with punch hole patterns are called brogues. It comes from the Irish (and Scots Gaelic) word “bróg” (pronounced the same). They were shoes or boots that had many punch holes to let the water out and let them air dry as you walked. So they just accepted that your feet were going to get wet and dealt with that aftermath rather than try and waterproof them.
ОтветитьThere is nothing normal about leaving a dog tied up,well done you for staying..
ОтветитьTalking to yourself is the only intelligent conversation you can have. Love your videos, currently binging.
ОтветитьJust started watching yours vids abbie there brilliant
ОтветитьGreat job on the jig, Abbie. The tune goes by two different names: Donnybrook Fair and Joy of My Life. I love your videos! Thank you for being so uplifting and sharing so many beautiful insights. Maybe see you on the trail some day!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing Abbie loved it...
Ответитьhi abbie, does your partner walk with you on your treks ?
