Historically at the beginning of a rate cutting cycle gold and silver and their stocks have a big pull back with the rest of the market. Once they bottom they out perform the rest of the market. I’ve held off on buying gold and silver mining stocks so far and it seems like a mistake.

People have been saying imminent rate cut for months, but they have been and will be wrong. The FED can't afford to cut rates and are only jawboning rates. Nobody wants the USSA debt at these rates much less at lower rates. But gold and silver aren't moving higher due to rates but political and economic instability.

Thanks John. I agree with everything you said except market crash right after cuts. I think the rotation has begun. We are probably 18 months to 2 years away from a large correction. Too much liquidity and housing market is stable.

I don’t see the opportunities that you’re seeing in EM. Lived in Brazil for a long time and with Lula it’s not a good investment. India is too expensive. Russia and China are uninvestable.

John, I am glad that you missed Hurricane Beryl it came directly over our Home and that's two in a row ,with Hurricane Nicholas in Sept. 2021 making the same exact landfall on Sargent Beach and taking the same exact path over my Neighborhood 25 miles Northeast of Sargent Beach , it's a complete Disaster area here , if Beryl was a Cat.1 then I am Donald Trump , I have seen Cat. 3 in my 65 years here that didn't do this much damage , hundreds of trees down just in my Neighborhood that are very large trees and have seen many Hurricanes pass through were destroyed !

What i understand is that what really matters for the markets are not the rates cut, as you said its inevitable, but the reason for it. If market buys the story of recession, then yes i agree with the movements you pointed out.
But they can try to paint the cuts as a natural course of action as inflation cooles. Then i see the opposite, markets running even more to tech/high speculative assets.

hey john, something i stumbled upon in my own screening was indonesian coal stocks. many of them were paying 20% and i think up to 30% dividend yields when the price of coal was high and today some of their yields are still strong too. I feel like if a WW3 scenario were to take place china would be more likely to ban imports from anglo-american countries such as australia than a country like indonesia. also, I am looking to diversify into more BRICS aligned countries in general. Have you or anyone else reading this comment looked into this?

Let's have 4 more years of Biden and Trudeau, and maybe that will wake up the average person when everything is destroyed due to the policies of the left. That is the only way to wake up the reluctant frightened liberal. They will try to steal the 2024 election from Conservatives as they succesfully did in 2020. Joe Biden did not get 81 million legitimate votes.
