No we shouldn’t have representation based on race

We have representation based on locality that’s how federalism works

Local state federal

A group of people who live in Melbourne or Sydney can’t represent aboriginal people all over the country

That’s a terrible idea

People are more interested in cost of living, putting food on the table, losing their jobs, mortgage stress, wastage of money in schools for useless agendas, making it harder for the elderly. We have 19000 migrants coming in which will cost huge money in food shelter and benefits,so many homeless,so many kids going to school hungry.People are suffering and yet we are discussing something of no value to distract people from their depressed state. Must be costing tens of millions of dollars for all this brought up by whoever. Money will be better spent on people who are suffering so much.
Not the time to discuss all this. Aboriginals need help but not this way.

I don't support the voice in its present form. Recognise first Australians in constitution. Put no to the voice. All Australians should have equal access to politicians. Sack the heads of the aboriginal and Torres Strait communities. They are not doing their job.

I fail to understand why when we have the NIAA, do we need the voice. And, why if we are talking about just forming a committee, do we need to change the constitution. And why, are we funding the NIAA to the tune of billions of dollars if it’s not working.
The Voice just sounds exactly the same as the NIAA with a change of name and we will end up with two forms of government. One for Australians black and white. Ie: all Australians, and one for indigenous Australians only. Doesn’t sound like we are aiming for equality here.

Facts are Australia has over one thousand indigenous peoples advising the government already. That costs Australia over 4 billion dollars a year.
We already spend over 30 billion dollars on indigenous issues every year.
We have an indigenous affairs minister Linda Burney as a voice as well. She is also an indigenous women.

Real indigenous elder's in remote communities are calling for the end to the handout generation, but the government think's throwing more money will fix thing's..

lets get this right , this govt wants to give a group of people in our community different rights to the rest of the community, that is commonly known as ''discrimination'' don't believe me , quote - ''Discrimination happens when a person, or a group of people, is treated less favourably than another person or group because of their background or certain personal characteristics.'' who said this , Australian Human Rights Commission , yes not me but the ''Australian Human Rights Commission'' ok lets put it another way if all non indigenous australians had more of a voice along the same as what is being called for what would be the result, easy a court challenge by indigenous australians citing discrimination. btw i am a labor voter.

God, people really dont understand the point of all this do they. Yes. We currently spend massive amounts on supporting indigenous australians. The point is that is isnt working. The point is us well meaning white people have no idea what the best thing to do is, and whenever indigenous representatives have been consulted for this stuff they have ultimately had no real say and have also been only represented by a couple people on an advisory board. If you think its fine that whole communities are living in extreme poverty in australia, go ahead, but I do not.

Throwing money at something which the voice is doing is not good practice. Discipline and education is the best way to succeed in life. This racial profiling only exacerbates the problem. We should be one Australia and instead of pandering to the minorities.

The government should focus on law, order, Education, health and infrastructure.

Communities should focus on community wellbeing, elders instilling discipline and manners into the younger generation and push each other to be the best person they can be to each other.

Too much money is wasted on certain area's of social reform and is not working. Community leaders must stand up and work together to get Australia on track. There are too many minorities pushing agendas not for the good of the community.

Well that was a load of propaganda from whoever that “Amy” chick is!
Her statement that “the voting population is younger” and more progressive is not factual.
According to the ABS, the median age for Australians has increased from 35 to 38 over the last decade.
And on a personal note, enough with the ramming of how wonderful indigenous culture is down our throats. And I’m embarrassed that we inflict smoking ceremonies on visiting dignitaries.
Lets live lives based more on science and rational thought, than on any religious dogma including the Dreamtime. 🇦🇺🇮🇹

MY THOUGHTS AND RESEARCH ON THE VOICE LEAD ME TO THE CONCLUSION OUR GOVERNMENT IS SUBVERSIVE AND DESTROYING THE Constitution .
SAY NO TO ANY DIVISIVE LAWS .

This Nation was built and developed by Settlers .
There were 500 to 700 unrelated tribes , no common language , no common customs , no common land .A Stoneage people that survived in the harshest of lands , fighting each MOB for limited food , water and shelter .Warring with other mobs over women and resources and as resources were depleted they moved on.
44 BILLION $ is budgeted annually to provide organisations and Services for these people who have no desire to work or develop anything .
Most of that 44 Billion is not accounted for , there is no Transparency but the Aborigional Leaders and administrators are all very wealthy . The Voice is just a copy of ATSIC and the other 5 failed Aborigional administered groups before ATSIC .
YOUR LEADERS don't want to be deprived of their Financial gains so they want a law made that can't be changed by elected governments when they Corrupt the system again .

NO to division
NO to further Racism
NO to more alcohol issues
NO to more domestic terrorism
NO to uncontrolled Benefits
NO to repeat offenders bail
NO to an illegal 3rd chamber
NO to a lack of Transparency
NO to unelected illegal bodies
NO to minority rule
NO to wasting further funding
NO to the Voice
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
