No we shouldn’t have representation based on race
We have representation based on locality that’s how federalism works
Local state federal
A group of people who live in Melbourne or Sydney can’t represent aboriginal people all over the country
That’s a terrible idea
Good. Giving power based on rave is discrimination
ОтветитьWhy are we quick to sell ourselves out. People need to think about this. Why are we thinking white black, should be thinking one country one direction
ОтветитьNo shock there
ОтветитьPeople are more interested in cost of living, putting food on the table, losing their jobs, mortgage stress, wastage of money in schools for useless agendas, making it harder for the elderly. We have 19000 migrants coming in which will cost huge money in food shelter and benefits,so many homeless,so many kids going to school hungry.People are suffering and yet we are discussing something of no value to distract people from their depressed state. Must be costing tens of millions of dollars for all this brought up by whoever. Money will be better spent on people who are suffering so much.
Not the time to discuss all this. Aboriginals need help but not this way.
I don't support the voice in its present form. Recognise first Australians in constitution. Put no to the voice. All Australians should have equal access to politicians. Sack the heads of the aboriginal and Torres Strait communities. They are not doing their job.
ОтветитьDoes he really by saying no that it is in fact the liberal party trying to divide the country
ОтветитьWell Pete, you're finally getting off the fence I see. You must have 'read the room' . The trouble is , I think the 'room you read' is only the toilet.
ОтветитьI am a migrant, living in this wonderful tolerant country Australia for 65 years. I Never believed I had more rights or power than Aboriginals. I hope that we get this right and move forward United. For the sake of our future.
ОтветитьWell give them a voice, and next thing you know, everything we dont agree to will be racist.. Lets go back to that 2 way street.
Ответитьlocal decisions only !!
ОтветитьGood move. The voice is a subversive and divisive mechanism rooted in victimhood politics.
ОтветитьI'm voting yes because for almost a year now the opposition has actually not raised a single point as to why this will be bad
ОтветитьAt last some opinion !
ОтветитьHow is the voice not considered to be obviously racist? It's saying that you get more of a say if you have a certain ancestry.
ОтветитьI fail to understand why when we have the NIAA, do we need the voice. And, why if we are talking about just forming a committee, do we need to change the constitution. And why, are we funding the NIAA to the tune of billions of dollars if it’s not working.
The Voice just sounds exactly the same as the NIAA with a change of name and we will end up with two forms of government. One for Australians black and white. Ie: all Australians, and one for indigenous Australians only. Doesn’t sound like we are aiming for equality here.
Abraham Lincoln waged the bloodest war in US in history to remove all mention of division based on race from their consitution, now Albo wants to enshrine it. That is what happens when you don't understand history.
ОтветитьGood 👍
ОтветитьWe’re in opposition.. let’s oppose everything.
ОтветитьWhere are the voices of the Labor dicenters???
ОтветитьThe Project: Australia’s CNN. 😂
ОтветитьThe Voice is a 100% racist proposition. No one racial group should have special treatment in a civilised multicultural society.
ОтветитьRemember Geoff Clarke lol yeah he really helped ' his ' people
ОтветитьFinally someone actually making some sense about this
Ответитьlol whether this passes or not I can tell you it will do minimal at best to improve the lives of Indigenous people who are in the lower class of living conditions lives, this is just posturing.
ОтветитьYes or no… doesn’t change anything, this puppets will still do what they bosses tell them
ОтветитьThis is typical of the Liberals showing NO respect to the Indigenous people of Australia !!!!!
ОтветитьDeceit diversion division. Smoke screens to distract from other issues and create an f more division amongst the slaves.
ОтветитьFacts are Australia has over one thousand indigenous peoples advising the government already. That costs Australia over 4 billion dollars a year.
We already spend over 30 billion dollars on indigenous issues every year.
We have an indigenous affairs minister Linda Burney as a voice as well. She is also an indigenous women.
Real indigenous elder's in remote communities are calling for the end to the handout generation, but the government think's throwing more money will fix thing's..
I have been liberal all my life until this year. No way will I ever believe in this decade's old party surpressing the rights of another. FOR GOD SAKE! Give the people a voice! We are a democracy!
ОтветитьFinally a politician with common sense. I'm voting no .
ОтветитьIn fairness should we have the likes of Tasmania's Michael Mansall as the self appointed speaker? With his family's criminal background? He's the reason why the Indigenous community get a bad name.
Best person for the job regardless of race.
Well lord voldemort, is known for his hate of muggles.
Ответитьlets get this right , this govt wants to give a group of people in our community different rights to the rest of the community, that is commonly known as ''discrimination'' don't believe me , quote - ''Discrimination happens when a person, or a group of people, is treated less favourably than another person or group because of their background or certain personal characteristics.'' who said this , Australian Human Rights Commission , yes not me but the ''Australian Human Rights Commission'' ok lets put it another way if all non indigenous australians had more of a voice along the same as what is being called for what would be the result, easy a court challenge by indigenous australians citing discrimination. btw i am a labor voter.
ОтветитьGod, people really dont understand the point of all this do they. Yes. We currently spend massive amounts on supporting indigenous australians. The point is that is isnt working. The point is us well meaning white people have no idea what the best thing to do is, and whenever indigenous representatives have been consulted for this stuff they have ultimately had no real say and have also been only represented by a couple people on an advisory board. If you think its fine that whole communities are living in extreme poverty in australia, go ahead, but I do not.
ОтветитьPete who turned his back on the apology to the stolen generation and opposed it due to his personal racism it is simply being true to his nature despite his so called repentance before the last leadership election. As John Howard said "a Leopard doesn't change it spots on issues such as this".
ОтветитьThrowing money at something which the voice is doing is not good practice. Discipline and education is the best way to succeed in life. This racial profiling only exacerbates the problem. We should be one Australia and instead of pandering to the minorities.
The government should focus on law, order, Education, health and infrastructure.
Communities should focus on community wellbeing, elders instilling discipline and manners into the younger generation and push each other to be the best person they can be to each other.
Too much money is wasted on certain area's of social reform and is not working. Community leaders must stand up and work together to get Australia on track. There are too many minorities pushing agendas not for the good of the community.
Not sure this particularly will hurt the libs as Voice proponents have a grossly obvious inability to precisely define it. Other than to keep saying “voice” in defining voice 🙄
ОтветитьKeep on making yourselves irrelevant Baldy.
ОтветитьI can't believe in this comment section there are still people trying to defend these liberal party clowns. Having you learnt anything over the last ten years, like the fact that liberals are incompetent and don't know how to run a country..
ОтветитьOne nation one flag first!
ОтветитьWell that was a load of propaganda from whoever that “Amy” chick is!
Her statement that “the voting population is younger” and more progressive is not factual.
According to the ABS, the median age for Australians has increased from 35 to 38 over the last decade.
And on a personal note, enough with the ramming of how wonderful indigenous culture is down our throats. And I’m embarrassed that we inflict smoking ceremonies on visiting dignitaries.
Lets live lives based more on science and rational thought, than on any religious dogma including the Dreamtime. 🇦🇺🇮🇹
Como siempre esta gente se oponen a todo acaso. No saben que los nativos son los verdaderos dueños de. Este Paiz.
ОтветитьThe Liberals are on the money, it will make no difference at all to indigenous Australian's, it will give Albanese the opportunity to become Fuhrer Albanese.
ОтветитьThis really should be a matter of content, not party positions. Seems the ‘voice’ seeks to codify political segregation by race. Are we saying that representational democracy is failing? Are we saying that some Australians are not able to participate in voting processes?
ОтветитьMY THOUGHTS AND RESEARCH ON THE VOICE LEAD ME TO THE CONCLUSION OUR GOVERNMENT IS SUBVERSIVE AND DESTROYING THE Constitution .
SAY NO TO ANY DIVISIVE LAWS .
This Nation was built and developed by Settlers .
There were 500 to 700 unrelated tribes , no common language , no common customs , no common land .A Stoneage people that survived in the harshest of lands , fighting each MOB for limited food , water and shelter .Warring with other mobs over women and resources and as resources were depleted they moved on.
44 BILLION $ is budgeted annually to provide organisations and Services for these people who have no desire to work or develop anything .
Most of that 44 Billion is not accounted for , there is no Transparency but the Aborigional Leaders and administrators are all very wealthy . The Voice is just a copy of ATSIC and the other 5 failed Aborigional administered groups before ATSIC .
YOUR LEADERS don't want to be deprived of their Financial gains so they want a law made that can't be changed by elected governments when they Corrupt the system again .
NO to division
NO to further Racism
NO to more alcohol issues
NO to more domestic terrorism
NO to uncontrolled Benefits
NO to repeat offenders bail
NO to an illegal 3rd chamber
NO to a lack of Transparency
NO to unelected illegal bodies
NO to minority rule
NO to wasting further funding
NO to the Voice
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
Wow nasty 🤮
ОтветитьAt least Albo is asking the question. If it's "his question, on his timeline" at least someone has the guts to ask and not just say no.
ОтветитьI'm voting no
ОтветитьIt's a no from me.
Ответить
