Austin's story reminds me of a time my stepdad was watching our dogs. We were living with them(that's very important for this) One of them pooped in the house(hardwood floors, thankfully), AND HE LEFT IT FOR US TO CLEAN UP! There's a few buildings here in NY that are basically reserved and built for musicians to practice, record demos, etc. They're not really meant to live in (you can, but they're pricey even by NY standards), but they're super insolated and noise treated. I've heard about them in other places, but not sure how common they are otherwise.

The one about trolling the fiance's little brother, I do agree that in many situations it would have been a harmless joke, however if you notice that someone is hurt and clearly didn't get the joke and is trying to have a serious conversation with you, you should stop joking.
Especially in this case when the little brother is in a bad mental state, and his worry was about not being taken seriously and always joked about. The fiance perfectly solidified his little brother's fear. I'm not surprised if this takes a big toll on their relationship.

I also think we don't know the full scope of how the fiance treats his little brother, since the therapist probably wouldn't have told the little brother to stop talking to his brother just because of the reason given.

With the first story there are a few ways it could go to me. I guess the biggest thing is does op know why her bf and his ex broke up? Also does bf do this with any of his other friends or is ex getting special treatment? Cuz maybe they were best friends before and the reason for the breakup was purely compatibility issues (like both are bottoms or one has a kink the other is uncomfortable with or they have opposite bed softness requirements, etc) and so they broke up amicably and see nothing wrong with acting like how they did before they got together. Or it could be that ex is abusive/manipulative and bf is just so used to her unhinged behavior he doesn't even register it fully anymore. Or it could be they cheating on op. Or it could be bf and ex never actually broke up and you're just the side piece she tolerates for whatever reason. Any which way they should probably consider going to a couples therapist and see if they can break down and figure out what's actually going on here and how to fix it/adapt the situation to accommodate the anxiety because the insecurities will not go away they will only get more pronounced and resentment will build as time goes on even if it does turn out to be not really that insidious but rather ops prior insecurities making it seem sketch.
