so amazing Tina Turner in 1970🎷🥁🎸🎹🎤☮️
ОтветитьBefore and during the Little League baseball season of 1969, my fifth, I did the 'paperboy of The La Habra Star's free midweek REVIEW. Sounds like, Revue.
Ответить🌼🌺🌞🌼🌺🌞🌼🌺🌞
ОтветитьSuch an amazingly beautiful soul.
ОтветитьThat camera work tho.
ОтветитьDuck Dunn: "We had a band powerful enough to turn goat piss into gasoline."
ОтветитьI do not think this is Bonnie Bramlett here.
ОтветитьExact date?
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьPure pleasure. No auto tune, lip synching or any of that; just the real deal, raw, vital and alive. Had to watch this after the really tasteless "rude" '22 Grammys 😒...
ОтветитьYes that’s Bonnie
ОтветитьThe first time I seen a white Ikette, though apparently not Bonnie Bramlett.
ОтветитьMYSTERY SOLVED: I believe I just solved the case of the unknown Ikette in the middle. Her name is Jane Canada. I googled the Ikettes and looked for pics. The picture of this lady was in the line up of other well known Ikettes with that name beneath it. Same face. Same light-skin. Same hair/wig. Same look! Same everything. Background says she's a Northern Soul singer. So I declare this set of IKETTES to be (L to R) Jean Brown, Jane Canada, and Esther Jones.
ОтветитьAll on that little ass stage
ОтветитьNot bonnie. Anyway white girl cant dance. Lol
ОтветитьWOW!
Ответитьkukikom court en them
ОтветитьBonnie ...smh
ОтветитьKathi McDonald & Claudia Linnear recorded this track along with come together LP; they did some dates in Vegas as Ikettes before Joining Leon Russel's Shelter People. this is NOT Bonnie or Kathi in this clip
ОтветитьRobbie Montgomery or Bonnie?
ОтветитьThis performance is in 1970. At that time, Ike and Tina were working Las Vegas and was going through a "temporary" set of replacement Ikettes and auditioning new girls. There was a girl named Lorraine (Ike never allowed last names to be known) who used to dance/work with Joe Tex being TRAINED to be an Ikette. She was AWKWARD in comparison, but Ike kept her any way. After a weeks training....she was ready. Esther returned from her illness, along with Jean (the best of the subs). This is who I believe this middle Ikette is. And I believe she lasted until Vera Hamilton joined the Ikettes!!!
ОтветитьThe mystery Ikette is definitely not Bonnie Bramlett, she was much earlier like 1963-64. It's not that reporter that was mentioned either, that was in 1971 or 72 and she was a reporter for Esquire magazine doing a story on Ike and Tina. She only ever did one gig as an Ikette and that was at a smaller local club in LA. She definitely was not skilled enough to appear on TV with Ike and Tina. I know a lot about the Ike and Tina Turner Revue but I'm not sure who this Ikette is? I wish someone could confirm who she is. I'm also not convinced she's white, I think this mystery Ikette is a lighter skinned black woman.
ОтветитьBonnie Bramlett was an on-again/off-again Ikette from 1963 to 1966. "I Want To Take You Higher" was released in 1970. Also, B-Bramlett was a blonde -- but then they ALL wore wigs during the Ike/Tina/Ikettes era. Also, I believe I read in Tina's first auto-bio, "I, Tina," that (when the $$$ was good), Ike would have in his employ as many as NINE Ikettes; 3 touring with Ike & Tina in concerts and TV appearances, 3 touring or performing on TV promoting their own hits, and 3 in the studios laying down back-up vocals for when Ike & Tina came off the road.
ОтветитьI don't think Bonnie is in this clip. The girl who could be her, just isn't her!
ОтветитьSuch little space to work with, but TT has always been a professional.
Ответитьike was a piece of shit.
ОтветитьNot Bonnie Bramlett. Kinda hard to keep your eyes off Tina anyway.....
ОтветитьThats not Bonnie lol
ОтветитьBonnie Bramlett, of Delany & Bonnie (associated with Derek and the Dominoes also) was an Ikette for a brief time.
ОтветитьNot Bonnie Bramlett. She was in the Ikettes before this time....
ОтветитьIf that's Bonnie, this must have been before 1970; I thought she only worked with them in the '60s. Notice the black and white film
ОтветитьThe Ikettes in this line-up....
-Jean Brown
-Esther Jones (R.I.P)
-Bonnie Bramlett.(The only white Ikette). Ike use to put body tan on her body to make her look more ethnic like a light-skinned women. Not that he had something against Bonnie but he did this because when the Revue would tour in the south white people will harass them for being an all black band with a white member. For the most part I think they pulled it off because she blended in well. :)
Who was the Ikette in the middle?
