There is another little city in the State of Coahuila , is Parras de la Fuente , but this days it’s almost impossible to live there , hotels are as expensive as The Riviera Naya , it seems like Oareas us turning in to the back patio if millionaires especially from Monterrey
Soon this place will be for certain type of citizens .
Area of excellent wineries and the home of the first place in the American continent to grow Vine plant .
Located in an oasis in the middle of the desert 1,500 meters over de sea level .

Great vid, thanks! I would say however, that the beaches of Oaxaca aren't exactly "an easy get-a-way". Unless you fly, it takes a few hours to reach the coast by bus or car. But maybe that's why la costa oaxaqueña is still so nice and less developed commercially. One other thing....it's far hotter and more humid on the coast than in Oaxaca City :)

I spent two weeks some years back in San Juan De los Lagos Jalisco it was the coolest in July . It was dreamy with temps staying cool the entire time .Never once turned on AC . Lil showers every day kept it cool maybe in the 70s . Carried an umbrella with me everyhwhere . I don't remember if we knew what temps were going to be but it was most pleasant surprise I live in San Antonio Tx and it's horribly HOT here reaching above 100 F to 110 F heat index . i often thought it would be soo fantastic to live there just for the weather

When God created Mexico, He did it with love and affection.

This is a nice list. My family is from Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, which is home to Patron Tequila, Tequila Siete Leguas and Don Julio. It is a BEAUTIFUL place with proximity to GDL.

There are a lot of hidden gems in the Los Altos de Jalisco region such as Tepatitlan, Arandas, Jalostotitlan and Lagos de Moreno.

I, myself, am planning on moving to Mexico, either GDL or Atotonilco in about 2 years, I'll be 55 years old by then. I have a ranch down there and it's been planted with Blue Weber agave just this April (2023). After the harvest, I plan on planting avocado and lime trees and some strawberries.

I want to have a home nearby at the edge of los altos with a view downward towards the town of Atotonilco. The food there is very good. Best tacos you'll ever eat are in Atoto at Los Cuñados (multiple locations in town) and La Guadalupana. I'm telling you...

My goal is to retire in Antarctica. Not too many people, housings cheap, no congested traffic, the air is pure and clean, and you don't have to worry about your neighbors playing loud music all night. My apartment will cost me ZERO dollars per month!

If you’re bringing in $2,000 a month in an online business, pension or social security and you want to save half of that, I know where you can live nicely on $1,000 a month as a single person because I am doing exactly that…

Since retiring, Mexico has been a wonderful place for me to stay on occasion. I love Merida, but gone are the days of an automatic 180-day stay as Immigration officials began looking at the frequency of constantly returning tourists who rely on that 180 day tourist visa in lieu of getting “temporary residency” which now requires a monthly income or pension of $3,100 US per month as of 2023 depending on which Mexican consulate you visit in the US to apply.

As someone on the lower end of social security, I don’t qualify financially for temporary residency and I can no longer rely on a “180 day tourist visa” as many others have done. So what is a retiree to do?

Broaden your horizons and look farther away from the US.

I’m on a sub-poverty income level of around $25,000 per year and could barely make it living in a 55+ low-income apartment complex in Albuquerque, NM with living costs, a car and insurance. Now I live like a “Prince” (not a King) in a foreign country where prices are roughly 50-60% less than in the US and I don’t need to learn a foreign language to live here in this tropical climate.

My rent for a fully-furnished, 1-bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor with a balcony, a 50 inch Smart TV plus water & Internet included in the rent, is only $200 per month on a 6-month lease. All I pay is electricity where my aircon runs about 60% of the time. Cost is only $58.

So where am I living? Siem Reap, Cambodia. If you’re 55 or older you can get a 12-month, multiple-entry, “ER retirement visa” through any local travel agency for $290. It’s renewable every year for $270 and you never have to leave the country to renew your visa. You also don’t need to prove your income, provide any supporting documentation. You don’t need to get an FBI background check or have a vaccination or health certificate. Opening a local bank account is not needed either.

As a single guy, I’m actually able to live here on just $1,000 per month, so if Social Security is all you have, you may be able to live here just as easily as I do. My SS income is automatically deposited into my US bank account every month on the same day like clockwork.

I transfer $1,000 from my US bank into my FREE, US-based Charles Shwab account and then withdraw those funds with Shwab’s VISA debit card at the ATM here in Cambodia (or anywhere in the world). All ATM fees are automatically reimbursed by Charles Shwab at the end of every month, so it’s just like walking into my local bank back home to pull out some cash in person—always free. Cambodia uses the US dollar as well as the local Cambodian currency called Riel.

You may receive a poverty-income, but you don’t need to “live” in poverty or pay a fortune for residency just to live in another country. Why settle for less in the US when you can thrive abroad on so little?

Considering a recently strengthened peso, and inflation, it is becoming much more expensive to live in Mexico than one might think. Good luck living on a $1,000USD per month. At that price you aren’t living…..you are existing.

Thank you so much! I'm a Canadian thinking of relocating and doing the digital "nomad" (that term is getting tired I know!) thing as I do all that garbage in an office to begin with...so why here and pay all that money locked in an apartment with four months of reasonable weather!

But I'm not bitter. ;)

Any links or information about actual rental or agents would be appreciated, but I know that can vary wildly. It's very scary, but also amazingly exciting.

I love you.

I live in Mexico, and I did buy emergency pesos, when i came here in 2021. Starting July 13, I will use my emergency pesos to pay rent for the next 5 months. My rent went from $673 per months to$874 per month for the same apartment, that I love. It does include all utilities, wifi, maid and security, and 100% beautifully furnished. My pensions comes on a USA debit card, and ATM fees are refunded. I always stock up on 6 months preps.

I paid $1900 per month for everything when i left the deadly and expensive USA at 79 in 2021. I do not want a Mexican banl account for it would be hard for my American family to get my savings.

Queretaro, but always be alert anywhere. Merida is too hot, and Acapulco had too many earthquakes.

Over 60 years coming to Mexico, all USA states., and all over the world on my own dime,

Allah u Akbar. God is great.

RIP everyone around the world.

The dollar is falling in Mexico, so rents are higher each month.

I was born in Chicago in 1942, then Oak Park, downtown, and last to Waukegan, before moving to Queretaro in 2021 at 79.

Queretaro works for me. Safe, Cool, and I have local friends.

Singaporean laws. Send all criminals from top to bottom to Ukraine and Sudan. Fentanyl tablet for all killers and rapists. Shave heads of males and females with felonies.

Leave the USA.

I worry about nothing, but that is how I am. I am retired, and at the age of 79 I do not need money from anyone, for I am a giver to non beggars, so they can help themselves. I do not like beggars, or scammers asking for loans or donations.

Keep your USA income, and just visit the different countries on vacation time. Never depend on donations. Help non beggars help themselves. Do not use any drugs. Trust only GOD. Keep written, audio, and video journals. Be married, even if you have separate homes, if you want sex and a baby after 35 for women, and 45 for me. You need your own space.

Queretaro works for me, after over 60 years visiting and living part time, and WORKING in the USA, Live where you can afford, and you are happy with the climate, safety etc.

Send all criminals from the supreme court on down to Ukraine and the Sudan,

Karma never loses an address. YOU will reap what you have sown.

I moved to Queretaro on 11-2-2021, and I am loving this city, and have lived in the same beautiful apartment, since day 1. At 79, I will stay here, until I die, and I will never take a test, pills, or injections, for I know my body. I am too old for visa runs, and I do have a highly recommended man, that will work for me. to get the temp retirement visa.
The people here have been super kind and respectful, and I am the same towards them. I do not have to walk, for I have many new friends with cars.

I wish the best for both of you, and so happy, that I worked from 7-70, and my pension supports me much better , than in the USA and it is safer, cleaner, and $850 less per month.
Mexico has been my favorite place, since I visited in 1962 at age 20, and fell in love with Acapulco, but not the 6 earthquakes, that I have experienced there and one hurricane.

I do speak Spanish as a second language. I love my own chicken wings etc. lol

All for now, and stay blessed and safe always.

I can live anyplace in the world, but since I am more familiar with my next door neighbor(Mexico), i am comfortable here. I am USA Muslim, and Africans are everywhere.
My DNA is African, First Nation, and Scottish. (grandfather). God has been great to me, and I am so thankful.

All lives matter....

Let go and let God always.
