We named our son Jender, so he/she will never forget this topic. All of our pets are named Pat, Stacy, Billie or Traci. My partner has come out of the closet to support the future decisions of our son. We are very happy and are supported by our community within our community.

Not a hate comment, just a father who is VERY concerned about the trend i see towards these sorts of ideas.

The family members I live with support LGBTQ+, but they don’t really understand some things (which is fine of course, nobody knows everything about everything!). Every time I try to talk about something related to my gender though, my dad says everybody wants to be something else at my age, and then reassures me that I am a girl. Other than this, they are really fun to hang out with. I know they mean well but it makes me feel like this is all just a phase, and that I’m making it up to feel special.
It could be temporary, but I do feel this way right now, and I have for a while now. I just kinda wish they wouldn’t push it to the side when I talked about it.

So how do you explain the bodily changes a girl will go through when identifying as boy? Going through a period and the hormonal changes that come when that happens, physical appearance changes that occur that don’t happen the same way as a teenage boy...how do you walk them through that?

My trans @ss was so happy to see a trans-positive ad for once.

I got that stupid ‘prager-u’ commercial and felt really sad, because I felt that the only people who actually understood trans people were trans people themselves. (If that makes sense)
