Without OTP How to Change Phone Number in TikTok! [SIM is Lost]

That’s a lie , because I did that twice and they said call your phone company to get the text to change it

I have this promblem now tik tok don't want to accept my phone number why I don't know I want to access my account

I did this and they told me to reactivate my old number in order to get the code because they won't do it any other way.

I swear one day im gonna find whoever invented this dumb ass shit and flame tf outta dem why tf is this so complicated for no reason 💀

I rather delete my account and start a new one (20k followers lost)

Support won't help, says security issue.

I followed all these step and this is what they said! I cannot believe they want me to just call up ATT, casually say, “ please activate my old phone number that I changed two month ago just so I can get a tik tok code!! Where are they thinking! And, no phone company is going to let a customer have two phone numbers activate at the same time!!!

I’ve reported the issue tons of times with automated bot responses and got nothing.

They told me to just make a new account because they can’t unlink my old phone. They also said I cannot use my new number I just got because it’s registered to someone else’s tik tok and therefor this number cannot be used. There literally are a thousand better ways than just keep making new accounts anytime you switch numbers. Ridiculous

I tried 2 times now and they said its a security risk that they cant help me .....😢

PSA to those who need a solution! If you give tiktok your email,(you should find that option in the settings in the same area you see your phone number) the key is to verify that email through tik tok sending a code, THEN the option to use your email to change the number linked to your account should appear in the settings when you attempt to change the number

Can you believe they didn't let me do it? I'm sending messages asking them to update it since I don't have the phone number anymore, and they said they are sorry and they can't do anything about it. I tried 4 times, all agents told me the same thing

This is the worst security features ever by a social media!! I have tried this method and its not working at all! imagine you lost your phone and you cant change your phone number because you still need to get the code from your old phone! And they responds is to get help from telecom provider which they also not helping. OMG the simple solution THEY SHOULD GIVE is to JUST SEND THE CODE to my email.. WAS IT HARD?!! AND THE WORST thing that happened to me, someone else is using my old number! What if this other person just log in my account by sending the code to their phone. THIS IS WORST SECURITY FEATURES EVER!!

I did that but their answer is that they cannot just change the phone number, I may have to go to my provider and ask them how I can have my phone number back. What a waste.

This is false. I have done this several times. Each time they've stated they cannot prove my identity without the number on the account so therefore, they will not change it or allow you to change it without having access to that number. No they did not allow me to prove my identity in a different method.

This security feature is predatory. They shod have the option to send the code to an email when changing phone number.
