Bernd shows us how the particulate matter levels developed over New Year's Eve. We take a look at how the air quality changed due to the fireworks in Nuremberg and the countryside near the city.

Maker Monday is presented by Paessler https://www.paessler.com/
Also have a look at our blog https://blog.paessler.com/

Every 2 weeks, IT Admins from Paessler will put the "smart" into “Smart Home”, as they take you through steps for creating a home automation system using some cheap and easily-accessible hardware and programs. They’ll start off simply enough, but the complexity will grow over time.
If you have ideas of what you'd like to see built in future episodes, let us know!

In terms of the differences between the two sensors, won't the wind direction be relevant? Are you factoring it in?

What I mean is that if the wind is along the line between the two sensors, they are likely to be closer in value than if it's perpendicular to that line.

Maybe a bird feeding box which takes photos of birds and signals about low food stocks(weight sensing, like with counterweight and encoder or something)?

Hi, could you do an episode about different ESP8266 Firmwares? i myself am trying to display DHT11 Values on a display, which only turns on when the PIR senses motion, while also sending the data over mqtt, but theres so much to learn and so little time

I would like to see a project where you build a weather station with wind, temperature, humidity and maybe some more data. It would be nice if it could communicate with home assistant even if it wasn't connected to the same wifi. (4g or another wifi where the sensor is placed)

I would like to see a bird nest box or Bat box with a sensor(s). Detecting if a bird/bat is using the box. Using low power so it can work for a long time.

Congrats to 10k subs!
I like to see a diy (or a moded one) smoke detector that I could use over my 3d printer that's run Octoprint and if the smoke detector should turn off a remote outlet that a 3d printer is connected to. Of course, it should be connected to Home Assistant and sent out a message to my phone:)
A diy Rasberypi zero camera doorbell would also be nice!

A video about how to make a (video)doorbell would be nice. Or a sound system. Or why not both ?

Love the maker mondays. How about you build a smart meter reader with a Rpi and rtl-sdr dongle to keep track of the gas/water/power consumption over a certain timespan? Also please let me win the printer so I can print some nice little housings for my arduino and Rpi projects. 😊

Detect if the shower is on by heat or flow, start the shower fan. Stop when moisture levels are back to normal. Moisture level detection for starting the fan is always a bit slow.

I'd like to see some projects around having a camera activated by a PIR, maybe to start recording and send a notification, perhaps then leading to being able to control other devices if activated for a length of time, eg if someone was attempting a break in it could activate lights and an alarm?
