I owned 2 of the aero kit 996's. Such and awesome car. I put 84,000 miles on a single clutch on one of them and tracked it a handful of times. I think they are getting prettier with age.
ОтветитьPorsche knows they have some 996 stored away for when the market peaks
ОтветитьMy 2000 C2 is epic. More than enough for a good, smart driver with nothing to prove. The lights are from an era that I still remember as a golden age, of Le Mans. Bore scoring and IMS are issues long settled on early 996's loved by their owners. I just pulled the trigger for a set of Fuchs 17" and lift kit to hold some snow tires to go with my Dakar kit upgrades. It is going to be a great winter.
ОтветитьFancy a meeting up I've got 1 to only 20mins away from you
ОтветитьJust beautiful.
ОтветитьLol love my silver aero 1999. Glad to see Porsche still has some love for its ugly duckling too
Ответить私も996が大好きです。ポルシェとか911がとかではなく996が好きなのです。
レーシングカーを思わせるヘッドライトは素晴らしい!
This guy Fuchs!
ОтветитьFred Fuchs gave up game development and started making rims for cars.
Ответить996 is a very underrated Porsche, especially the C4S
ОтветитьLove the 996. But that looks awful sorry
ОтветитьWell fuch me
ОтветитьOne day guys
ОтветитьNice but tbh - it looks too small for the car.
Ответитьyou cannot polish a turd
ОтветитьFuchs doesn´t work with newer cars, but at least is cool to see someone using it.
ОтветитьMy Old 996, is really rocked:-) . aber er läuft und läuft!
ОтветитьCant wait to get my 996 back on the road next year
ОтветитьI have a Porsche 986 Boxster from 1999 with a 5 speed manual transmission the color arena red metallic paint code L84S with Savanna beige interior with a black top she’s a bit of a project but a running and driving one but I feel the same way it was the Porsche my dad had that was his first Porsche and then I grew up with the 996 generation 911 because he had one of those two after the Boxster it was a white cabriolet with a blue top and black interior. He used to take me to rides in it as a baby and then my mom had the first generation 955 Porsche Cayenne, turbo S in lapis blue metallic with Savanna beige interior i’m partial to those to that generation of cayenne in particular, and another thing about my 986 Boxster is no matter how sad or mad I feel every time I get behind the wheel. It always makes me happy and smile I could dump so much money into that car and to me it would be worth it because of the amount of joy it brings me driving it. My plan is worth it one day to get it restored to a nice daily driver status, new paint, refinish the wheels, make it a nice daily driver fix all the leaks because there’s no the car I i’d rather be in except a 996 911 of course for an air cooled 911 or 914 or maybe a 955 cayenne but the manual version and yes, they did make a manual Cayenne 6 speed, but they’re pretty rare oh, and oh, and just a Porsche enthusiast for everything Porsche, every car even that tractor they made if I had the money I would I wanna drive all of them they’re truly spectacular vehicles I love the part of my 2.5 Liter Flat six in my 986 sometimes I just go out and start it up just to listen to it it’s a beautiful sound, and I can only imagine how good the 911 would drive if I fell in love with my Boxster’s driving experience the 911 has to crank that up to 11 all in all, Porsche is my favorite car brand
ОтветитьHow does it sound that good?
Ответить996 — long denied, now iconic
ОтветитьOne of the best looking generations of the 911
ОтветитьBring the 993 Turbo Wheel to the newer Gen 911 and to the Taycan ❤️😃
ОтветитьWow what a great idea, to make accessories for older models, it shows how good a product is, that the brand expects you to use it still.
Love it
That 911 is absolutely stunning
ОтветитьI was born in 88. By the time I was 5yo I was collecting Porsche Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. Then I was buying Porsche posters and books at the Scholastic book fair. I had even seen a couple Porsches in real life, just driving around town. Then I saw the 996. Just. WOW. I was awe struck. Jaw on the floor. I absolutely loved it from the very first photo I saw. Then I saw it in some movie. I had to see it in person, so I asked my dad to take me to the dealership. He thought it'd be a good idea to inspire me to study hard in school so we went. We were both hooked. We took all the promotional material, paint cards, posters, and t-shirts home and bought a lotto ticket on the way back. When we got back, we sat in the living room talking about color combos and wheel designs. Convertible or coupe? Guards reds on black, or Arctic white on blue? After building our 2 996 in our minds we started daydreaming of winning on that lotto ticket and cruising the apalachin mountains. Little did either of us know, in just 4 years, he would save enough for a down payment and trade his tired out old 1989 Dodge Dynasty. When he pulled up in it to surprise me I asked, "Did you rent this." He said, "No, I bought it yesterday." 23 years later, we still have it. Needs a lot of work but now that I can work on it, I'll give it everything I've got. Should be back on the road in April, just in time for our birthdays. I'll be 36, on April 19th and Dad will be 71 April 20th.
ОтветитьAmazing video, love highlighting the 996.1. Makes me want to run and get some Fuchs for my Polar/Red 986.1!
ОтветитьSure doesn’t sound like a 3.4L 996 to these ears, its like they used Ai to insert “engine vroom vroom sound” into the video and this is what we get instead. Does anyone else notice this?
I like that Fuchs design is available for modern tire diameters and water cooled Porsche models, i wonder how an 18 or 19” version would look on a 928 GTS?
this is one of the prettiest 996s i have seen tbh
ОтветитьNice car maybe il see you on the back roads around Bolton.
ОтветитьThree sets of wheels for the price of the whole car 😂
Ответитьffs the price is about to skyrocket now (wont be able to buy one)
Ответить160kmls and still kicking!
ОтветитьHmmm.... what's the purpose of this video 🤔😅
ОтветитьNice. Have same here in Germany.
ОтветитьWELL portioniert 👍
ОтветитьFuchs are awful… they look tiny and make the body of the car appear bulky!
ОтветитьWhat exhaust have you got on that? Sounds great.
ОтветитьIs there anyone else here who noticed the fake engine sounds? Porsche seem to do a lot of this with their marketing videos. Although there are a couple of clips of the actual 996 engine sounds, mostly they appear to have dubbed some american muscle car sound over the video. You can tell it is fake as it isn't even in sync with some of the video shots! Edited to add they even added fake tyre squeals lmao
ОтветитьNice! Remember when everyone hated the 996? (And 964, and Carrera's, and SC's, etc. :D) Cool to see the GT3 bodywork too. Had to do a doubletake, but saw the 7K reline on the tach, so no Mezger there, but still cool to see.
ОтветитьWow finally everyone is seeing the light and to use a silver on terracotta aero 996.1 in that video has just tipped it for me as the greatest 911 to date ...but then I have got two the same so I would say that but there are just so many wins on the 996 and the whole Porsche world are starting to see that including Porsche themselves finally being proud of what they built 👌❤️
ОтветитьMan when a fried egg light Porsche is deemed a classic , it makes me feel old.
Ответитьwho doesnt love a 996!
ОтветитьOEM 18" Turbo Twist wheels on mine still look awesome though
ОтветитьLink to buy these wheels? Porsche Classic catalog?
ОтветитьI miss my 996. I wish the clutch was better. I replaced it once and I still wasn't pleased. My 997.1 is 10x imo
ОтветитьWhat exhaust is that? Sounds incredible
Ответитьla 996 non c’entra niente con i cerchi Fuchs
ОтветитьYup 996 is a keeper … until bore scoring happened
ОтветитьI got my 996.2 4S Artic Silver with Robster Red inside just as shown as on video. It is an amazing design and absolutly driving machine at the racing track. Whatelese i can say?
Ответить
