I always forget that Oblivion got a PS3 release

I've never seen this game look this bad. Jaggies everywhere and choppy when turning. I had a really powerful PC when it came out.

This game seems fun i just got it on ebay for 3 dollars

Would love to see Daggerfall remade along with Morrowind… I played Daggerfall upon release

Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell  (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. Don't wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better.

Does it have issues regarding save files? If you play too long the save file gets too big and it gets corrupted like Skyrim?

Just bought my first PS3 and a copy of Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition, is there an update for the game? Or can I just put the disc in and enjoy? 😁 (I would need to update my PS3's official firmware, first)

Was playing this and had all my items taken from me and thrown in a dungeon. 😩

The PS3 version was the first I played before eventually getting the PC version and discovering the wonderful world of modding. However, there's something strangely unique about the visuals of this version that's not present in the Xbox/PC releases... and I just can't quite put my finger on exactly what that is. It's actually bothered me for years, maybe I'm just crazy?

Edit: Oof, just read the description. Knew it had improved filtering, but didn't know about the parallax improvements. I think that might be a big part of it. Something about the HDR/Bloom seems softer too, which adds to the comfiness of this incredibly comfy game. Anyway, cool video c:

great video, I play this on my Xbox series x, and yes I have a ps4, but the game saves are more convenient when I save the game on my Xbox, you have good game play, for the race I'd pick is dark elf, I picked that for Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, I will be picking that race for the new elder scrolls game, I like stealth and light armor for my build, can I add you on my friends list for the ps4, just asking 😀 - CyberGod

I got my Xbox 360 at a midnight release and with it came a collectors edition of Oblivion.
To this day it's still my favourite elder scrolls and I still have that collectors edition. ♥️♥️

I found out the ps3 version has better graphics than on pc but is laggy, and I have a fun fact for ps3 version, If you're entering Vilverin and then you go downstairs, you'll find two bandits, a female dark elf and a male redguard while in pc version is just the female dark elf there

I’ve never finished this game bc it’s so confusing I never know we’re to to it’s way different than Skyrim which I completed 100% and put hundreds of hours in.

Plus Oblivion much like morrowind does not hold up its horrendous and boring I can’t bear it . So I’m glad I can watch your play through bc I still enjoy it enough to see the ending.

As if the game is running through an ide-hard drive, very slow loading.

I have this for my PS3 and i tried, but it just never really clicked with me.. I kind of gave up on Elder Scrolls for a long time, but as a fan of VR i gave Skyrim VR a go and now, about a year and a half later i'm still super hooked and sank countless hours in it! Nowhere near completion yet as it has all dlc included too. That medieval/viking atmosphere suits me so much better than what Oblivion brought to the table, but that is subjective ofcourse. Also being in VR adds so much more immersion which makes it just incredible! I wonder if i would like Oblivion a bit more if it could be experienced in VR too. Anyway, those npc faces remain just as terrible as i remember them lol

I have ps5 and I've just bought a ps3 and a copy of this from ebay to play again , tried playstation now stream and nothing bud lag trying to play . Shows you how shit the new consoles are when I'm going back to 2 generations to play this game , best game I've ever played by far

Maybe try the game at 480p let the MCLASSIC works it's magic. Might be softer textures but maybe a smoother frame rate.

I wanna play Oblivion on my PS3. I played Skyrim on PS3 and 100% platinumed it on PS4

But Oblivion seems kind of confusing, and I mean the menus and stuff. Should I play it as a Skyrim player?

I'm not much of a gamer these days, but I have a PS3 and buy games for it now and then, I wanted to try one or more of the Elder Scrolls series as I like fantasy and open-world!

I saw a lot of reports saying Skyrim has lag issues on the PS3 due to graphics memory and other memory getting clogged the more you play, hoard and unlock, so I thought an earlier game in the series would be safer.

I could only find old (2012) reviews of Oblivion, which says the PS3 version has issues and should be avoided, but then the "Game of the Year" edition was released, where these issues were fixed and improved.

I may take a gamble and buy Oblivion, this vid may help me make up my mind, but I may not watch it all in case of spoilers! ;-)

Played this when it first came out, I’m hoping they do a remake of MorroWind, I fell in love with the Elderscrolls series when I played that one.
