Hello.. really looking forward to this havnt seen many people do anything on these excellent!! All the very best Phil aav
ОтветитьImagine owning land with a pyramid on it...
ОтветитьWell, there is a reason why ancient people would build graves at points where you could watch something interesting going on in the sky at a certain date. Look at the ancient Germans who believed a rainbow would serve as a stairway to heaven. Yes, ancient people wanted to believe their beloved dead people would go to heaven and in order to facilitate that the were prone to have the burial at a place and time when there was something visibly going on in the sky. They could interpret that as a a connection between the dead on earth and the sky and like a stairway or a a lift for the soul of the deceased. The speculation that the burila of a deceased king and the coronation of his successor would happen at the same place is conveiveable. The King is dead, Long live the King. Btw not everybody appreciates the frequent use of "however", Sorry for my candour. Even so, may that be as it is, that said... I loved it. ;-)
Ответитьhhhmmm, curiouser and curiouser. i can see where these could be, more or less recent constructions. but.....why? even on such a relatively small scale, the labor involved is such that there had to be a good reason(s) for doing so. perhaps the land-owner was bored or was trying to fool us. OR, perhaps they are ancient and the dates are wrong. must look into this, some more.
thank you, Laura, for this interesting video!
Thank You Laura! Very interesting information. I didn’t realize there were multiple structures of that nature in the Canary isles. Are you going to create some videos on Etruscan sites in future?
ОтветитьI read they were terraces for a plantation. And it seems likely it was a stop off point for supplies and slave markets.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьDamn I always thought those pyramids were thousands of years old, amazing that by digging deep you expose the true nature of myths and legends with fact! Well done Laura. 👏
ОтветитьA farmer clearing rocks off field would use them to create a fence or building. Makes no sense to carry them multiple layers high otherwise. Cheers
ОтветитьVery interesting Laura.
I’ve only been to the Canaries once. No Liberty. Just long enough to medivac a crew member back to the states. So no exploring. Sadly. It would have been interesting to see.
I’d not put too much weight on those land deeds. Today we look at such things quite differently. We might think a pyramid or mound would be so cool. But back then it was just something in the way. The mounds here in America in the Mississippi valley on private land were plowed up and down to grow corn until the 1930’s in most cases. Now the private land owners guard them jealously.
So I’d not be surprised that the older deeds did not mention the presence of a pyramid. Nor do I know of any farmer that would work so hard to make an aligned structure. A pile of rocks on the property boundaries yes. Maybe even a stacked wall. But a pyramid? No. I don’t buy that. Nor the Freemason. Those guys are crazy and will work hard. But not a stepped pyramid. Smooth sided yes. Stepped no. It’s not part of their culture. Smooth IS. Stepped is NOT. And these guys are VERY consistent.
So that leaves the “old ones”. Whoever they are, however they did it. For whatever reason. Yet another unsolved mystery.
Fox out.
Awesome video!
ОтветитьHi Laura. Really great video and a lot of good thought behind it. But, it has left me in a "rut" to think of what these " cart ruts" where used as or even how they were made, as they almost look like they were machined by some sort of lost technology(maybe Christopher Dunn should have a look at this). Anyway, keep up the great work, I just love your research and how you convey it. Take care.
ОтветитьThose are very similar to the ones in Hawaii and Samoa
ОтветитьNo, they were built in the late 1800s by a bit of a prat who was a Free Mason (says it all).
