They do make short sharpies. I buy them at work as the full size ones get lost (stolen) long before they run out!
ОтветитьSun screen spray oil to remove sharpie marks
ОтветитьAwesome your foredeck is closed up. Nice work. Gemma's happy dance.... too funny
ОтветитьI think bondo would be the thing if you wanted a little rounding between the wheelhouse and deck, awesome progress!
ОтветитьGemma! Whenever you're out with the roller, a little bell goes off in my head: "Paint Ya Boat Time".
ОтветитьGreat work! You make it look so easy, Sarinda’s coming along really nice..🇦🇺🍺🍺
Ответитьan angle grinder with a wood blade would have made easy work of that wood
ОтветитьOnce again, a brilliant job.
ОтветитьI'm always impressed by the way you 2 work together. There's probably more drama we don't see, but things work out and look fantastic. Keep at it and I hope to see it soon.
ОтветитьBefore I forget, there are short sharpies. If I find them on line I'll buy and send them to you.
ОтветитьWow, impressive job!
ОтветитьThey do make Mini Sharpies!
ОтветитьSquare head is called Robertson and it was invented in Canada. The only time we use a phillips head is for drywall, otherwise Robertson is superior.
ОтветитьYou and Gemma can’t stop smiling . You should be. Good job so far , awesome
ОтветитьCould you build the wheelhouse structure like you would a house or garage wall on concrete? Then you could through bolt things together with brackets and such rather than use screws.
ОтветитьLooking great Simon & Gemma. You’ll thank yourselves later if you fibreglass the WHOLE wheelhouse! It’s a pain trying to keep plywood painted on boats, it always wants to throw off any paint. 👌🏻🙌🏻
ОтветитьLooking good. No holes.
ОтветитьI am surprised you didn't add insulation in the gap between the deck, and the bottom ledge of the wheel house.
ОтветитьLooks great now really come along this after this episodes work! Thanks for sharing your video and work.
ОтветитьFuckin tonnes 😆😆😆😆
Bet you've had far less ruined screws using the square drive ones. Torx are absolutely unbeatable but heinously expensive in stainless.
When your using that caulking glue stuff why don't you use the last cartridge nozzle, it's already cut to size and has a nozzle full of glue as well ?
ОтветитьTop Job 🤘
ОтветитьI Am Also........The Warranty.
ОтветитьYou two are amazing with what you are doing along with being out in the elements as well. Keep up the good work. Ian
ОтветитьBrilliant jobs guys well done
ОтветитьBrilliant 😊
ОтветитьAm I wrong or were you intending to restore this vessel back to original?
ОтветитьSimon and Gemma I really love your humor and the adventure you’re on, and it really help with sub titles 😂
ОтветитьI think that you guys are excellent. The wood workings are something humans have been replacing for as long as we have walked. So the logic is correct pull everything made of wood that has signs of decay and try to make a template. Your subject is important . Every amount of increased weight in the walls and cock pit roof areas are going to cut into sea stability. I can’t wait to see your new pilot house. The roll time and balance of the hull’s center of gravity and draft depth are affected by these architectural additions.
Ответитьthere is a much better way to do this , if you are interested ?
ОтветитьJust found ya'll... it is an awesome boat.. time to binge watch the other 195 videos..
Ответитьi don't think the problems will be the lack of glue
ОтветитьCracking job.. as always
ОтветитьHow much sand paper you must have used
ОтветитьThe rotten wood just keeps growing
ОтветитьMy wife would never listen 👂 to me like U two
ОтветитьThey are making short Sharpies. 😉
ОтветитьI'm impressed! Super work by a lovely couple! Thanks
Ответить👍🏼🇨🇦 Always great to watch you two! Thank you
ОтветитьYou guys really ROCK!!!!!!
Ответитьwow that round wheelhouse looks great, well done you two
ОтветитьPlease wear gloves when ripping apart wood w 75 yrs of assorted organics and chemicals in it, and buy a real crow bar or two. You want to enjoy your boat in your latter years not have to sell it so a nurse can spoon feed you in an old age home when your hands and arms give out. FIBERGLASS BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD but you didn't have anything ready so what's your choice. Water proof the crap out of it. I hope if you could get insulation, you can get rock wool, it's the only thing that won't support mold, and if any vermin eats it, tries chewing their way into it for a home, it'll kill them.
ОтветитьWanna have fun, cut one of those screws in half, see if it's plated w SS or IS SS. If it's from China, u can't know until you check. I get my deck screws from Taiwan, as that supplier said, its as far West as he'll go.
Ответитьdidja know if you soak a piece of wood you can bend it and when it dryes it stays that shape
ОтветитьSuper hard workers, thanks for another great video
ОтветитьYou two are just machines ,really you just keep going whatever it takes just too cool😮
ОтветитьDid that wheelhouse used to have window wipers?
Ответить
