Theodore Tugboat is the one I remember.

1984…. The same year as the transformers first appeared, so my childhood appeared in the year too.

Tugs was my absolute favourite as a child. Had all the VHS releases. The super Jazzy theme music and stern (pardon the pun) narrator were my favourite.

Wasn't there a cars version in the 90s.

I remember tugs, liked it a lot as a kid

maybe tugs needs a reboot but with the same cast and maybe some extra cast characters like a battleship- or some pirate ships (not that kind of pirate the other kind of pirate the modern) and still maybe the show might be at like 1920's or maybe 1940's tho- idk but still would be neat- and probably for the reboot they shall do the storyline's first season like the original first season about story- but pretty much might some models needs to changed like submarine

Have you ever considered looking at the deleted Cars 2 scenes? (for example, Turbo's Death)

The sets remind me of the toho godzilla films

I own all the Tugs episodes on VHS, One thing that didn't get mentioned but I feel should be was that some scenes were recycled for a show called "Salty's Lighthouse." Featuring animated scenes of a kid in a lighthouse and scenes from Tugs to make other stories or short segments.

No Thomas is so much better than tugs

There not cruise ships there Ocean liners. Ocean liners were designed to bring people from place to place and Cruise ships are designed as a hotel on the water

The US dub of this show’s first episode has been found. However, when “Tugs” was brought into America 1997, it was heavily edited in the cartoon series “Salty’s Lighthouse”. That was a pretty poor introduction to “Tugs” in the states. Thankfully though, the missing US dub of “Sunshine” was found. I watched it and heard it, and the voices didn’t sound clear enough.

It is confirmed that the Crain when put into Thomas is actually big mickey and not just being used as a generic Crain

Honestly, although I'm not a huge fan of this show, I'm alot more familiar with Thomas and his friends. This show is pretty solid, much like Thomas back in the day. Its a shame it isn't so well known, much like another sister show of Thomas over in America, Shinning Time Station, still, its nice to see this, and shinning time get some attention, i think both are neat! I still perfer Thomas but this show is pretty cool! Great review Steve as always!

You didn't even reffrence the books he's been around since 1945, also Tugs is amazing!

At first seeing all the explosions, I was thinking this would take place during one of the world wars, revolving around convoys and uboats. That'd be very interesting to see, but this was still a beutiful show
