I thought this would be an average, uninteresting film... But it turned out to be beautifully written, directed and acted by all who were involved... Geraldine Page was simply flawless and deserved her Oscar win... and the music to it, wow.. Don't miss this little gem!
ОтветитьGeraldine Page was a national Treasure, especially to lovers of the theater. One of the greatest American actresses who ever lived (especially on the legitimate stage.) Wish she would have lived to a really ripe old age so younger generations could have enjoyed her work(on stage and screen.) Very well-deserved and long overdue Oscar win here.
ОтветитьI am from Arkansas when my family moved away and when we would come see my grandma this film I always away watched cuz I could so relate to her a total classic!!'
ОтветитьA true American treasure. Noone can match Mrs. Pages talent. See was just the best and this film displays her greatness in all its glory.
Ответитьthis is in my top 10 favs..love this movie..so moving!
ОтветитьI just saw it on Broadway.
ОтветитьTotally enjoyable trip back to the good old days that I highly recommend. The acting is top notch and the story is so good. Loved this movie!!!
ОтветитьThis was such a good movie. I'm glad I saw it :-)
ОтветитьAwful trailer. Complete with snorts too 1:11
ОтветитьAgree w/ organboi-awful trailer; does nothing to capture the greatness of this film. Watched it w/ a friend who had to see it for a college class; wasn't at all enthused at the prospect, but am I glad I joined him anyway. One of the best, most touching, moving films EVER. Ms. Page left me in tears!
ОтветитьI can't wait for the new one to come on tonight
ОтветитьI snort too
ОтветитьSmall wonder the trailer didn't capture this movie's spirit. The movie is an organic whole that unfolds itself gradually to the viewer. There are no great spikes, just a steady, extraordinarily well done story of melancholy and, perhaps, a ray of hope at the end.
Ответитьthis film was made for senile senior citizens and fucking retards.
Ответитьthis looks so old.....and i can hear the static sound. but the premise seems like my kind of movie..
Ответитьthat bust station scene at the end. Who was the young actress? Was that Penelope Ann Miller?
ОтветитьHey guys, it is old (if you consider the 1980's old) but why would that matter? A great movie transcends time and this is a great movie. So watch it. Watch Geraldine Page's masterful and Oscar winning performance and enjoy it.
ОтветитьEsta historia es conmovedora :^).
ОтветитьI loved the movie and I wished I had it on Blue ray
ОтветитьThe ticket agent that Geraldine Page asks for a "Trip to Bountiful was my high school math teacher, Norman Bennett.
Ответитьhow come that there are so few good movies like this today!
ОтветитьThis movie leaves me in puddles of tears every time.
ОтветитьTHE GREAT ACTRESS
ОтветитьMISS YOU
ОтветитьAble to smell the talcum powder my Nanny used to wear. Can just picture the garters with her stockings and pale pink undershirt ladies of Nanny's generation wore. Geraldine Page is just perfect. ❤
ОтветитьI love this movie. Simply put, I love it. So moving. The music is perfect.
Geraldine Page's character is divine.
Hermosa pelicula! Genial Geraldine Page
ОтветитьThere will never be another actress like Geraldine Page. So glad she left us with this gem 💎.
ОтветитьTo me this is a very well made horror movie. I can't stand feminists, but it's very frustrating to watch this story of how a woman's whole life was ruined by failing to stand up to bossy men, first her father, then her son. But i guess that's how things were in the south back then.
ОтветитьGeraldine Page was only 60 when she filmed this.
